App has MUCH better connectivity than Vicohome did, which i appreciate the most. Still some minor bugs for example the bright boost switch doesn’t seem to work. Still a big improvement over the original app. Also would appreciate a way to reboot the camera from the app. I use a mesh WiFi system and whenever i reboot my routers it doesn’t connect to the closest router and the only way to mitigate is a physical camera reboot.

Half the time it doesn’t work as you can’t even get into the camera. On the chance you do it’s blown up so huge it cuts a majority of the image off so you have to reduce the size to fully see the view. You can’t access past images without getting into the camera live and then going to the history. New app also took away the images of the birdhouse type which was super helpful when you have multiple feeders, it’s nice to reference the style or shape for quicker access. Finding image quality to be poor as well, despite nothing changing in the settings or the camera itself the app is not showing leasing the camera quality. Still have a significant issue with it being correct on the battery percentage, which was a big thing in the last app that never seem to get fixed. It still shows a camera may be not charging when it is or saying it’s dead when it’s not, so that bug has continued to this app now too. Things overall are just not as easy to access like they said it would be and I’m pretty tech savvy. As per usual a company takes a pretty decent app and created a new one to only make it way worse. I don’t know why companies don’t focus on fixing the current app and the issues with the current one instead of making a new one and then making that five times worse than it was. I used to turn to this app and hook up other birdfeeders to it, and instead of using the apps that were originated to go with them because this one was way better but now those other apps are out shining.

I am so frustrated that ever since they changed apps I have not been able to see my birds. It’s been various issues. First the app wouldn’t connect to my feeder. Now after several other issues, the app now will not let me log in. I get a message that my session expired and to log in again - but I’ve not been able to log in just repeats the same message. I have written several times to customer support, deleted and reinstalled, turned off and on my phone among other attempts to solve the issues. Nothing works and support just keeps saying uninstall and reinstall. How many times do I have to say I’ve already since this too many times and it still isn’t working. This is an expensive item that I couldn’t wait to have for a very long time before finally making the purchase and while everything was great before they changed apps, it is now a great frustration. I do NOT recommend this at this time.

I used to use Vico Home a lot. Even though it had its own issues it was usable. I could manually enter if a bird is detected but not identified. That would be a band-aid solution to their mediocre AI. Now I can only edit if a bird is misrecognized, so I need to hope that AI will make an attempt to label a bird with something, then I can modify. There are some birds that come very rarely and I don't want to miss them. Their new app records the motion, says there is a bird but it does not put any label on it so I cannot even edit them. Why remove a feature that used to work?I also submitted tickets to their system. They have the worst customer service ever. It takes ages if they ever reply. My bird feeders do not work with any other app. So I am stuck with this one until I buy new feeders.
Fix some bugs.
