GUEST MODE You can now use Flaresat without creating an account. On the sign-in screen, tap "Continue without account" under the RADIO section. Create and join Radio groups, drop pins, draw routes, chat over the mesh, and connect a LoRa radio device — no sign-up required. Sign in any time from your profile to unlock cloud groups and sync features. LO​RA TRACKER GEOFENCING Alert zones now also monitor LoRa radio trackers (Meshtastic and MeshCore) in addition to named group members. When a tracker crosses a boundary, you get a notification and a system message in the group chat. Works in the foreground and while the background radio sync task is running. CLICKABLE AREA LINKS IN CHAT Geofence system messages now include a tappable link to the area that was crossed. Tap the area name in the notification to jump directly to it on the map. MAP IMPROVEMENTS - Selected pins, routes, and areas now show a clear highlight so you always know what's active. - User avatars show a dynamic border color based on how recently their location was updated. BUG FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS - Chat notifications are suppressed when you're already inside the relevant group. - Geofence state handling refactored for better accuracy — fixes edge cases where alerts could fire twice or be missed. - Sign-in flow fixes, onboarding walkthrough improvements, and org page stability. - All MeshCore links updated to meshcore.io.

Summer 2026 Update, Biggest release yet. MeshCore Support Flaresat now works with both Meshtastic and MeshCore LoRa firmware. Pins, routes, areas, text chat, and live location all work over either mesh. Select your firmware in Device Controls before scanning. Off-Grid is now Radio We renamed off-grid mode to Radio throughout the app, same map, same chat, zero internet. All your existing Radio groups are untouched. Organizations Nest multiple groups under a single workspace with Admin and Member roles, invite codes, and full member management. Geofence Alert Zones Draw any boundary on the map and get a push notification the instant someone crosses it. Choose entry, exit, or both per zone. Works in the background and over the Radio mesh without internet. Background Live Share Tap LIVE and choose a duration, 15 min, 1 hour, or 8 hours. Your location broadcasts even with the app in the background or screen locked. A system indicator keeps you in control. QR Codes & Invite Links Every group has a scannable QR code in Group Settings. Radio groups now have a shareable invite link too, send a tap-to-join URL even when someone isn't next to you. In-App Announcement Inbox A bell icon on the home screen shows release notes, tips, and updates without leaving the app. Unread announcements show a badge. Radio Delivery Status Every outgoing Radio message shows a delivery indicator, Pending, Sent, or Failed. If a map item fails, the create sheet stays open so you can retry. Relay Bridge Link an off-grid Meshtastic group to a cloud group and everything syncs automatically — both ways. Pins, routes, areas, and messages travel between the mesh and the internet in real time. Mixed teams (some off-grid, some online) now share the same live map. Live Weather Overlays Toggle precipitation, wind, temperature, cloud cover, and pressure layers directly on the map. Stacks on top of any map style including Satellite. Navigation Tap Navigate on any pin, route, area, or teammate for instant turn-by-turn directions. Apple Maps on iOS, Google Maps everywhere else. Compass & Direction Indicator A compass HUD in the map header shows your real-time heading. Switch between compass rose and degree/bearing mode. A direction triangle above your avatar lets teammates see which way you're facing — not just where you are. Off-Grid Backups & Export Back up any off-grid group to your Flaresat account in one tap, or export it as a .flaresat file to share via AirDrop or email. Import shows a full preview before restoring. Navigation — Tap any pin, route, or area to open directions in Apple Maps (iOS) or Google Maps. Routes navigate to the trailhead, not the center.
