I love the innovation of this app and it truly helps me to lock in! I use it on my Mac to study, and have a couple recommendations if they choose to formally expand FocusTown to computer download: (1): pop-out feature: Allows us to see our timer, character, and bg music on the bottom of our screen. At the moment, I can only minimize to a large rectangle, and can’t put it on another window on the “No Distractions” feature. (2): friend requests: send friend requests when we tap on another players character. (3): have a task list/ to-do list feature where we can complete items off our list(4): the background music/ sound effects aren’t that great. The cafe chatter can be loud (even at 1%) and isn’t “smooth”. Some people are louder than others and I can hear a child screaming in the back?? 😭Birds/nature/ waterfall sounds would be appreciated! (5): pause timers: Sometimes I would like to pause the timer to use the bathroom or get a snack without having to give up. (6): more customizable hair/ decorative items that we can purchase. I really like that I can work towards unlocking more study areas and clothes— it makes me more motivated to study! More items would be super cool!

I do like the app. I like being able to study with people but don’t have many people irl to do it with so having people “around me” who are all focused is really nice. I like the different settings, the daily shops, the way you can interact with people and their dreams. My only complaint is that the art style is advertised a different way than the game really is,. I like the in game art style, but a lot of the art to advertise the game is very ACNH, but the actual in game models look nothing like it. Which is fine, I just fish they would use that art style instead when advertising so you’re not thrown off. Another small complaint is that when you’re looking through people in the setting you’re in, it’s very easy to close out of it and you’ll have to restart. If you’ve already clicked to congratulate them on their dream, and accidentally click again, it will close you out and that can be a little annoying. Overall, it’s a great app. I’m really glad it exists and it’s very cute and silly and definitely helps improve productivity. Would recommend

This apps got super potential! It’s simple, but could use some tweaks. for one, whenever I’m studying on my phone or use it for whatever reason (notes, textbook is on there, app necessary for studying basically), the app will forget or shut off the app so when i finally come back and the timer finishes I don’t get my beans. Secondly, I wish there were more things to do within the app to help motivate the studying. Add more emotes, more clothes, just more something. Making a storyline that progresses the more you study unlocking levels or something with seasons would be a great way to keep people on your app. (like finch!) Then, for the social aspect I thought it would be awesome if the dev’s made an option to congratulate those who have finished studying within the room/server youre in! (or some sort of emote) I know the goal is to study, but again to keep people on the app it would be an awesome way to make people feel motivated to study. maybe not a full on chatroom, but opportunities to interact with the other players would be awesome. The biggest issue i have is the app restarting every few minutes I leave to use my phone for any purpose. Would appreciate more character customization as well.okay update: they added a chatroom and a cheer emote to peoples goals and study goals! which is nice. I would suggest a chatroom regulation. most people do is share what theyre working on, so i hope they can regulate the chatroom to breaktimes only as not to distract those who are working or not to distract those with weak will lol (like me and a few others i made friends with) presumably as the game gets more popular the more people will chat and the less study focused the app will be. also! i would love an “add friend” button on peoples little goal cards!

I love this app as someone who gets way too absorbed in my work. It reminds me to take breaks and rewards my progress. I’ve been using this app for a long time, before the quest update and the new room! I love those additions. It’s so much more homey and fun The only problem is that the new update came with a lot of bugs. The quest log often gets bugged and tells you have a quest when you don’t. It leaves you with this notification marker until the next week. It’s very annoying as someone who hates those marks. Sometimes they don’t even go away the next week. It’s bugs like that that ruin the experience for me. There are also the rewards for your progress. They aren’t bad but, in compassion to what they were before the massive update, it’s disheartening. I noticed this mostly with the golden beans. I could gather them over time before but now I haven’t gotten any since this massive update happened. You have to use the paid option to get them consistently now. Either that or try your luck on a once a day spin that only has a small chance to land on those golden beans. Even then it’s not enough to buy any of the emotes. I wish there was a more relatable way to get them. Either that or having a second option to get the item with normal beans at a higher price. Gathering the normal beans has also gotten harder since they cut back on how much you get every session in the update. I haven’t been able to get a full furniture set since this update dropped despite putting in many hours into my progress. Though, I will admit that I have gotten a few outfits. Still, it takes days to weeks to get up to the asking price of the average set. It makes your progress feel a little less meaningful, scaly considering how much we got previously. The bugs are fixable but I doubt there will be changes to the beans. If that’s not a deal break for you then this is the prefect app for you!
