Band Central 4.1 gives every tablet its own text size, adds accent patterns to the metronome, and brings the app to six more languages. TEXT SIZE ON EACH DEVICE - New setting in the new lyric view: Settings > Lyrics > Keep text size on this device. Turn it on and that device keeps one text size of its own for every song, no matter what size your bandmates pick on their iPads or tablets. - Leave it off and text size works as before, shared with the other devices in your band. - The new lyric view is out of preview. The setting is now simply called Use new lyric view. METRONOME - Accent patterns: choose which beats are accented for each song in Edit Song > Accents. - Pick a click sound per song. - The metronome on the lyric page now follows the song's time signature, so a song in 6/8 counts six beats instead of four. - Clicks are cleaner, with no pop at the end of each beat. SHARING AND SETLISTS - Share many songs to another band at once: Select Songs to Share in the songs menu. - Sharing a song with several lyric versions now keeps only your default starred in the other band, so Set as Default is available again. - When adding songs to a setlist, a Songs to add strip shows everything you have picked, even after you search. - Song numbers in the lyric viewer now match the setlist. Breaks no longer take a song number. - Your setlist sort order is remembered. - A setlist that showed no song count or total time corrects itself when you open it. - Breaks created on the website show their real length, and opening a break no longer resets it to 0:00. YOUR FILES - If some of your band's files are only on one device, the band owner sees a reminder with a Move them button to upload them, so the rest of the band can open them. - The plans screen now shows Band Central Storage and how much storage each plan includes. SIX MORE LANGUAGES - Band Central is now available in Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Danish and Greek. - German, Spanish and French are now fully translated. FIXES - A band member can now edit the details of a song they added. - A foot pedal can move on from a PDF or Word chart: at the end of the chart, press again to go to the next song. - Songs and setlists stay up to date when you come back to the app after it has been in the background. - Fixed a rare case where removing a shared attachment could leave a broken file link. Band Central 3.6 Chord diagrams are here. See exactly how to play the chords in your songs, right in the lyric view. NEW - Chord diagrams: on-screen fretboard grids for the chords in a ChordPro song. Show them inline above the lyrics, or as a chord summary at the top of the song. Guitar and ukulele, left-handed option, capo support, and an adjustable size. Tap any chord to see other voicings and pin the one you use. - Editor text size: make the lyric editor text bigger or smaller with the new A-/A+ control. Your size is remembered across every lyric you edit. - Slash chords now transpose the bass note too, so a chord like G/B moves to the right note when you change key. Band Central 3.0 -- The New Lyric Viewer This release replaces the lyric viewer end-to-end. Lyrics render natively now, not through a web view, so everything is faster, smoother, and more reliable. What's new: - Brand new native lyric viewer. Pinch-to-zoom that just works on the first try, smoother scrolling, and your zoom level is remembered separately on each device. - Chorus and bridge sections marked with a left-margin bar. Sections opened with {soc} or {sob} get a vertical reference bar, while the existing section banner stays as the label. - Bold, italic, and underline in lyrics. Wrap any part of a lyric in {start_of_bold}, {soi}, {sou}, or the HTML aliases , , , and have them nest with the existing {soh} highlight. - Tappable URLs in lyrics. Long links wrap at logical break points and open in your browser when you tap them. - Author-controlled pauses for auto-scroll. Drop {pause:5} into a lyric and auto-scroll waits five seconds at that spot. - Format Lyrics syncs live across your devices. Change a font, color, or section style on one device and see it on the others in about a second and a half. - Pedal scroll improvements. Quarter, Half, and Full scroll amounts are now sized to your screen, with a 15 percent overlap on Full so you keep your place. At the end of a song the pedal needs a second confirming press before it advances, so you never skip past a lyric by accident. - Smoother swipe between songs in setlists. The swipe gate is stricter, so a pinch-zoom or scroll motion won't accidentally turn into a song change. - Adding a new lyric makes it your default automatically. Importing, saving from Lyric Search, or manually adding a lyric version makes it your starred default for that song. Other band members keep their own defaults independently. - Section header background "None" now actually clears the band instead of falling back to the default light blue. - Subtitle (artist name) now matches your lyric text color when you haven't customized it. - Windows-imported lyric fix. Lyrics that came in with mixed line endings no longer show a blank line between every line. - Cleaner Lyric menu. Reorganized into Edit, Attach Audio, Attach Document, Text Size, Transpose, Format Lyrics, Metronome, Show Audio Player, and a Settings submenu so nothing gets cut off on iOS 26. - Upgrade picker. When you launch 3.0 for the first time you'll see a brief sheet describing the new viewer, with options to try it now or stick with the previous view.
