I love the Ember mug, but the regular ember app has become borderline unusable bloatware. This third-party app is focused on just one thing: making the mug work, and doing it incredibly well. Everyone with an Ember mug should use this app. The extra features are also worth the inexpensive subscription, IMO — the live activity monitor integrates well with Apple Watches, largely replacing a feature that Ember killed on their own app a year ago.

Holy cow, it's amazing what someone who actually cares about the product can do. This app is miles better than Ember’s — I deleted that one. The $4/year is easily worth it for the Live Activity alone. I’ve also had zero re-pairing issues with multiple mugs, which was a weekly headache with Ember. My only nitpick is the app icon; I’d love a cleaner or customizable option. Overall, great app.

This is THE must-have app for Ember Mug. I love how this app uses Live Activities with Dynamic Island, the lock screen, and Apple Watch Smart Stack. The mug info even shows up on my Mac as a little coffee cup on my menu bar. And what really stands out is how well this app stays reliably in constant contact with my Ember mug.

A very nice upgrade from the OEM Ember app. More useful and more fun!I love the Apple Watch feature. Would love to see that become more robust and maybe even an actual full fledged watch app

Thanks so much for the 5 stars! I really appreciate your feedback on the Apple Watch features. I've debated a standalone watch app, but sustaining a long-term BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connection directly from the watch to the mug is restricted by Apple and would be really tough on watch battery life. Using Live Activities allows for a much lighter battery footprint. Thanks again for the support, and will keep exploring ways to improve the watch experience!
Added a new Turn Off Live Activity option in Settings. If you enjoy coffee or tea throughout the day, you can leave Live Activities on with the default behavior. If you usually only have one drink or just use your mug in the morning, you can choose to have the Live Activity turn off automatically after an idle period.
