Stash Diabetes
Track supplies & spot bad lots
Free
Stash is the simplest way to keep track of every diabetes supply you depend on — so you always know what you have, what's running low, what to reorder, and whether it's safe to use.
Built by someone who's lived with diabetes for over 22 years, Stash is designed around how managing this condition actually works: too many supplies, too many expiration dates, and no good way to see it all in one place...until now.
Whatever you use, you can track it:
- Insulin: vials, pens and cartridges, rapid and long-acting
- Pump supplies: infusion sets, cartridges, pods, tubing
- CGM sensors and transmitters
- Oral medications — log anything from metformin to statins
- GLP-1s — track Ozempic, Mounjaro, and other weekly pens
- Emergency supplies — glucagon, ketone strips, and more
Whether you're Type 1 on a pump, Type 2 on orals or a GLP-1, or anywhere in between, Stash adapts to your routine.
Know before you run out:
The Stash Ring shows exactly how many days of each supply you have left, based on your real usage. Reorder reminders mean no more midnight panic when you open the last box. Add calendar reminders when your re-order window opens back up (30/60/90 days).
Recall alerts:
Stash automatically checks your supplies against official manufacturer and openFDA recall data. If something you own is recalled, you'll know — without scrolling through news or manufacturer emails to find out.
Community Reporting:
When a sensor fails early or a lot simply doesn't work, that frustration usually disappears into a support call and nothing changes. Community Reporting changes that. Report a bad device with a swipe and a tap — lot number and details fill in automatically from anything you've scanned — and you can see what others are flagging on the same lot. Your reports finally count for something, and your reporting can help spot bad lots before they spread. Reports are submitted anonymously.
Spot your patterns:
Log injection and infusion sites on a simple body map and see your rotation at a glance. Track wear time so you know how each site and sensor is holding up.
Pack with confidence:
Heading out of town? The travel planner calculates exactly what to bring based on how long you'll be gone, so you never land somewhere short a sensor.
Share with people who help:
Give a partner, parent, or caregiver a clear view of your supplies — useful for families managing diabetes together.
Your home screen, your way:
Build a widget dashboard so your most important counts are one glance away, no app-opening required.
See what you've tracked:
Stats turns your logging into a picture of your real-world use — insulin delivered, supplies consumed, days tracked.
Private by design:
Your data is yours. The only data Stash collects is opt-in only and anonymous by default. Stash is built by a person with type 1 diabetes who wanted a tool that respects the community it serves.
Join the 3,000+ people in 50+ countries using Stash to keep track of their supplies and stay informed.
more I started using Stash a few days ago, and it’s already been able to pick up patterns I never realized (I’ve definitely been overfilling my cartridges). The time remaining calculations give me clarity on when I’ll need to reorder and the trip planner has already been super helpful for a 4-day business trip. I showed my endocrinologist the app and even he was super impressed. I wish I had this app sooner.

Started using Stash with v1 and it just keeps getting better. I feel way more confident in how many supplies I have at home and I finally don’t need to guess whether I have enough for upcoming trips. I even was able to skip an order because I realized I have too many pump supplies at the moment… so I guess the app is actually saving me money haha

My diabetes supplies were a bit of a mess and this app gave me the push to organize, scan, and keep better track of everything. Love the expiration notifications and site change reminders. Minimal, easy to use, with tons of options for personalization. I haven’t used the trip planner yet, but it’s fun to just play with lol

I cannot emphasize enough how useful this app is. I always used to lose track of my supplies, but since I’ve downloaded this, I’ve felt completely confident in what I have and how much I have left. I can track my pump supplies, my CGM supplies, my oral meds, and even my GLP-1 med — it’s bananas how helpful it’s been!
Developer Response Thank you for your review! I'm so happy to hear that Stash is helping keep track of all of your supplies. If you have any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out at support@stashdiabetes.com — thanks again!

What's New in 1.6.9:
Recall Alerts
Stash now checks your scanned supplies against active product recalls. If you have an affected lot number, you'll know immediately — with a direct link to the manufacturer's notice. Affected items are flagged everywhere they appear.
More options to copy & paste
Now, all of your Lot and Serial Numbers can be copied from your inventory. Need to send a serial number to order a replacement? Just a tap away.
Injection Site Tracking
MDI users can now track where they inject. After logging a dose, tap to place on the body map. Your recent injection sites appear alongside any active devices so you can rotate with confidence.
Pump Change Flow
Pump changes are now a single, streamlined sequence — activation, insulin source selection, and fill in one smooth flow instead of multiple separate screens.
Ketone Strip Tracking
Opened a bottle of ketone strips? Stash now tracks how long they've been open so you know when to replace them.
Improved Trip Planner
More accurate packing suggestions that account for your active supplies. If your current sensor covers the first three days of your trip, Stash adjusts the count accordingly.
Also in this update
- Sensor and pod dots on the body map are now easier to tell apart
- Dose events are now properly labeled in your usage history
- Backup and restore now preserves all dose and placement data
Bug fixes:
- Fixed a trip planning bug for CGM sensor calculations added to trips more than 1 month in the future
- Fixed a bug where injection sites and pump/sensor placements were not saved in Export/Import of data
1.6.9 Apr 11
What's New in 1.6.8
Body site tracking is here. Tap on a body silhouette to record exactly where you placed your sensor, pod, or infusion set — and for MDI users, where you gave each injection. Your recent placements show as faded dots on the body map so you can see your rotation at a glance and avoid overusing the same spots. Eversense users get upper-arm-only zones.
MDI users get a new home screen widget with quick-dose buttons — tap to deduct units directly from your active pen without opening the app. Priming waste and sharps are handled automatically.
Also new: ketone strip tracking with open-vial expiration timers (individually wrapped strips are handled separately), a cascade activation flow for pump changes that walks you through fill and placement in one step, shelf life mode for backup supplies, and expanded pump support for iLet cartridges, twiist cassettes, and YpsoPump carts.

What's New in Stash 1.6.7
My Barcodes
Stash now remembers every barcode you've scanned. Head to Settings → My Barcodes to rename products or fix miscategorized items — changes apply across your entire inventory. You can also contribute your scanned barcodes to help other diabetics get instant scan results.
Site Rotation Tracking
See which body zones you use most for sensors, pods, and infusion sets. A new Placement History view shows percentage breakdowns for each zone. Report site issues directly from your In Use items — zones with frequent problems are flagged so you can make better rotation decisions.
Mixed Sensor Support
Stash now knows the difference between 10-day and 15-day Dexcom G7 sensors. If you have both in your inventory, each sensor gets the correct countdown when activated. Days remaining calculations account for mixed durations automatically. You can also manually set the sensor duration from the detail view.
Smarter Scanning
A new "Confirm category before adding" reminder helps catch miscategorized scans. The scan result card now scales better on smaller phones. Several new barcodes have been added to the database, including Omnipod 5, Dexcom G6 Transmitter, Libre 3 Plus, and more.
Widget Updates
The Insulin widget now shows your active pen or vial's remaining units as the main number, matching the Sensor and Pod widget style. The Sensor widget flips to show your active sensor countdown first, with inventory below.
Backup Insulin Alerts
If you have a backup pen in shelf-life mode, Stash now sends reminders at 3 days and 1 day before the 28-day room temperature expiration.
Other Improvements
Tap any In Use item in the category view to see its full detail
"Runs out approximately" label for clearer inventory estimates
Priming units noted in the dose section with a link to Settings
Pen needle deduction now works for pump users dosing from backup pens
1.6.7 Apr 6
Version 1.6.6
- Backup insulin pens now send reminders at 3 days and 1 day before their 28-day room temperature expiration -- Pen needle and priming deductions now work correctly when dosing from a backup pen on a pump profile
- A helpful note below the dose buttons explains how priming works and where to adjust it in Settings
- The Sensor widget now shows your active sensor's remaining time as the primary display, matching the Pod widget layout
- Insulin Pen widget is now available for pump users with a backup rapid pen — log correction doses right from your home screen
- Added TRUEplus Ketone Test Strips to the GTIN barcode database
- Dexcom G6 sensor option added as a standalone sensor, not grouped with G7 10-day.
1.6.6 Apr 4
MDI Dose Logging
-Log doses directly from the In Use list — swipe right on any rapid pen to enter a dose, or tap your configured basal dose for one-tap logging. Full unit tracking from the moment a pen or vial is activated. Dose history groups rapid taps within 30 seconds into a single entry, and "Last dose" timestamps help you check if you've already dosed.
Pen Needle & Syringe Auto-Deduction
-After each dose, Stash automatically deducts one pen needle or syringe from your inventory. Smart 30-second debounce prevents double deductions from rapid taps. Configurable pen priming setting accounts for air-shot waste.
Basal Dose Reminders
-Set a daily reminder for your long-acting insulin. Tapping the notification opens a quick-log sheet with your dose pre-loaded. Dose early? Stash skips tonight's reminder and reschedules for tomorrow.
Urgency Colors
-Unit counts on pens and vials now change color based on remaining insulin: blue when you're good, amber under 3 days, red under 1 day.
-Redesigned MDI Pen Widget
-New 2x2 dose grid with -1, -2, -5, and -10u buttons. Urgency colors match your remaining insulin level. Updates immediately when you edit units in the app.
Improved Onboarding
-Personalized dashboard with your name, guided first scan flow with Data Matrix education, and a new empty state that previews what your tracked supplies will look like.
Bug Fixes
-Barcode scan-out now triggers ganged auto-deductions and placement/fill prompts
-Fixed Eversense patches incorrectly categorized as Transmitters
-Fixed Omnipod pods auto-detecting as 5-packs
-Fixed trip planner backup basal showing absurd day counts
-Fixed remaining time capped at 365 days when daily usage is not set
-Fixed Connect Adapter appearing for non-iLet pump users
-Added missing Dexcom G6 sensor type option
-Fixed basal reminder notification deep-linking
1.6.5 Apr 3
What's New in Stash 1.6.4
Insulin Unit Tracking
- Track exactly how many units are left in your vials and pens. When you change your pod, cartridge, or reservoir, Stash asks how many units you filled — and deducts it from your active vial. See real unit counts instead of time estimates.
Configurable Insulin Widget
- Long-press your insulin widget to choose what it shows — Rapid-Acting Vials, Rapid-Acting Pens, Long-Acting, or all insulin at once.
Dedicated Pod Widget
- Omnipod users get their own widget with active pod countdown, grace period tracking, and inventory count.
Sensor & Pod Grace Periods
- Dexcom G7 sensors show a 12-hour grace period countdown after session end. Omnipod pods show an 8-hour grace period. Amber badge with live countdown so you know exactly how much time you have.
Smarter Barcode Scanning
- Scanning a box of 10 infusion sets? Stash detects the pack size, auto-fills the quantity to 10, and cleans up the product name. No more guessing if "1" means 1 box or 1 item.
iLet Connect Adapter Tracking
- Beta Bionics iLet users can now track Connect Adapters as a separate supply category, included in Full Pump Change.
Omnipod Controller Info
- Scan your Omnipod controller barcode to save its serial number, lot, and manufacture date in Settings — handy for insurance claims or replacements.
In Use Improvements
- Edit start time on any active supply (long-press → Edit Start Time)
- Edit remaining units on vials and pens
- Cartridges and reservoirs now appear on the In Use tab
- Reorder In Use sections with the hamburger menu
- "Expiring Soon" indicators on emergency supplies like glucagon
Placement Tracking
- Opt-in body zone tracking for sensors, pods, and infusion sets. Select where you placed
it right after activation.
220+ Barcodes
- Expanded barcode database with international support, Australian GTINs, and iLet/Beta
Bionics products.
1.6.4 Apr 1
Version 1.6.3:
- Medium widget redesign
- New infusion set widget
- Sensor widget fixes
- All widgets now link directly to their section in the app when tapping
International / Barcode Support
- Locale detection
- FDA API skipped for non-US users (faster scans)
- Smarter negative caching for non-US barcodes
-23 new GTINs for barcode recognition
- Now includes 216 total static barcode entries (up from 193)
Unit Tracking for Pump Vials
- Users can now deduct units from vials that are loaded into pods, reservoirs, or cartridges. This keeps a live tally of available insulin in your active vials, and is more accurate than the average tracking.
- Allows split-vial deductions when finishing a vial (deducting 300 units from a vial with 200 left will deduct 100 from the new vial) - Depleted vials stay in In Use at 0u (red "Depleted" badge) until new vial opened
Placement Tracking
- Placement tracking can now be enabled in settings for infusion sets, pods, and sensors. This will pull up a new sheet where users can track body placement. This can always be added manually in the In Use section.
Data Model / Pod Changes
- Pods now require expiration date on manual entry
Bug Fixes / UX
- Return to Inventory — confirmation alert required
- Tap items in Category Detail View to see drill down with more information (scan in date/time, etc)
- Minor sheet styling inconsistencies.
More to come!
