The AI assistant is back for Pro members, and more reliable. If AI can't answer, HomeBaseAI now tells you why in plain words - and your saved items are always searchable.

Reliability and polish update. Saving from the guided setup now tells you if anything failed to persist instead of silently dropping it; free AI tries are no longer used up when the AI cannot answer (network or provider errors refund your try); widget shortcuts open the right screen; accepting a family share is more robust; and daily-limit messaging is clearer for Pro members.

This is the biggest update HomeBaseAI has had since launch. Dozens of fixes and rough-edge cleanups across the whole app. Conversation: the latest message stays above the keyboard, the user bubble grows for longer transcripts, follow-up action buttons reflow at large Dynamic Type, and a new Examples menu in the top-left helps first-time users find their footing. Maintenance tasks are finally editable. Tap any task to change the interval, notes, or last-completed date; swipe leading to mark complete with one gesture; the new task creator exposes reminder + notes + lastCompleted up front. Photos are now manageable. Tap any item photo for a full-screen lightbox with swipe-between and Remove. Thumbnails are cached so scrolling stays smooth on items with lots of photos. Settings got organized. New Help & Support section with email + Rate App, a Notifications section that surfaces your current permission state and deep-links to iOS Settings, build number appended to the version row, and a redesigned Subscribe row that shows your real trial price for the week. Sharing got clearer. The Share Home sheet now explains what family members will and won't see, and the home-delete confirmation names the home + counts items + warns about sharing impact. Stop Sharing failures show up inline instead of vanishing. Widgets that say "Pro" are now actually Pro-gated. Free and lapsed users see an upgrade prompt that deep-links to the paywall. The paywall has an explicit close button, surfaces the right state when StoreKit holds a purchase for parental approval, and shows a brief "You're in!" celebration after a successful purchase. Trial status now appears in Settings with the renewal date and price. Under the hood: offline AI failures no longer burn your free tries; the daily AI cap is actually enforced now; notifications schedule between 9am and 9pm so you don't get pinged at 3am; maintenance reminders skip orphaned tasks; OCR flags low-confidence reads so you can double-check the extracted fields. Plus the usual stability + accessibility improvements.
