Recording now starts reliably when you come back to OldMate, and recovers if it gets stuck. If something goes wrong, OldMate gives you a way back instead of a blank screen.

A new welcome shows what OldMate does, with a launch promotion for new accounts. After you write a note, OldMate asks only what's missing, and you can reply right there. Tap a follow-up's date or words to change them. The Settings back button now works every time on iPhone.

Sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent to your email. OldMate is now a subscription: A$6.99 a month or A$59.99 a year. Everyone who joined before today keeps it free. Folio is now an index, with a colour for each person.

Notes now fill in as you go: who, where, what's new and any promise appear beside your words as you speak or type, and a tap on one fixes the words it came from. Reflect on is now a short chat that asks small things and ends with a note you keep point by point. AI consent is now asked once, for your account, rather than on each device.

A fresh look throughout: calmer colours, new type and roomier cards. Home now says why it suggests someone to reflect on, and you can start a note from the + or from a person's page. Long names wrap instead of being cut off.

Add a photo to someone’s page, from your library or camera. Photos are backed up privately across your devices. Find people by meaning as well as by name, and send feedback from Settings.

Your words now appear as you speak, and a voice note can run for up to ten minutes. Every recording in a note is kept with it and plays back wherever you sign in. Backup is now always on while you're signed in, so your people and notes stay in step between your phone and the web. Also: clearer messages when something goes wrong, a Hook that stays short enough to remember at a glance, and smoother sign-in and password reset.
