Know which plan to move, and why. One sentence per plan, the radar at the venue to back it up, and a dry time to move to. Today is free.
Know which plan to move, and why. Rain Check reads the forecast where each plan on your calendar happens and tells you, in one sentence, whether it's fine, iffy, or time to move it.
Every weather app tells you the weather and leaves you to work out what it means for Saturday's game or Thursday's picnic. Rain Check does the second half. It looks at your real events, reads the forecast at each event's own address for its own hour, and gives you one sentence per plan.
YOUR PLANS, IN ONE LIST
Open the app and your plans are listed by day, with the next plan to decide on in a card at the top. Each row says fine, iffy or move it. Fine means go. Iffy means keep an eye on it. Move it means the weather is likely to ruin it. Every event shows up, including indoor and all-day plans.
TAP A PLAN TO SEE WHY
A plan opens to a sentence like "Soccer at 9: move it", the reason under it, and a radar view at the venue. Under the radar, an hour-by-hour rail shows the chance of rain and the temperature. Drag it to move through the day. Expand opens the full-screen radar at the same moment.
MOVE IT, OR KEEP IT
Tap Move to and Rain Check moves the event to the best open slot on your calendar, with 15 seconds to undo. More times shows other open slots. Rather stay put? Choose Keep & remind and you'll get a reminder before it starts. Moving an event is always your tap, never automatic.
A RADAR YOU CAN SCRUB
The full-screen radar shows live radar across the US, then forecast radar out to 48 hours, on one scrubber. Drag to any moment or press play and watch the rain move. Your plans sit on the map as numbered pins. Radar coverage is US only; elsewhere you still get your plans and the hourly forecast.
FREE, AND PLUS
Today is free: every event on your calendar today, the radar, heads-ups, severe-weather alerts and your choice of how cautious to be. Rain Check Plus is an optional upgrade that tells you fine, iffy or move it for tomorrow and the days after, up to 10 days ahead. Rain Check Plus Annual and Monthly are auto-renewing subscriptions; Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and vary by region. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. No ads, no account.
BUILT FOR OUTDOOR PLANS
Hikes, photoshoots, youth games, market booths, group runs, weddings: Rain Check recognizes outdoor-shaped events and judges them the way an indoor lunch never needs to be: for rain, storms, snow, wind, heat and cold.
YOU SET THE BAR
In Settings, choose Relaxed, Standard or Cautious, and see how your own events would be affected.
A HEADS-UP WHEN IT MATTERS
Notifications tell you when a plan turns iffy or worth moving, and severe-weather alerts come through when you turn them on. Choose °F or °C in Settings.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your calendar never leaves your phone. Forecasts come from Apple Weather. Radar comes from NOAA through our own server; a radar tile request identifies only the map area you're viewing, never you. No account, no sign-in, no ads, no tracking.

A redesign built around one sentence per plan.
- Your plans in one list, each with its weather: time, place, the answer (Fine, Iffy or Move it) and the temperature and rain chance at that hour. Each day shows its sky and when rain is expected
- Tap a plan to see why: a sentence, the reason, a radar view at the venue and an hour rail you can drag
- Event details on the plan page: when, where (tap for Maps), notes, link and people, plus Open in Calendar
- Any event with a place now gets weather. Events with no place say so, so you can add one
- Expand opens the full-screen radar at the same moment
- Move to with 15 seconds to undo, or Keep & remind
- Mark a plan as indoor or outdoor with a long press
- A Done button in Settings
- Every plan on your calendar now shows up, including indoor and all-day plans
