GlideDay: Paraglide & Fly
Perfect wind, zero gusts
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
The only app that notifies you when conditions at your favorite takeoffs are perfect. Choose your wing and fly in total safety.
Tired of arriving at the takeoff only to find the wind too strong, dangerous gusts, or worse, having to run from a sudden thunderstorm?
GlideDay is your ultimate flight instrument. The only weather app designed exclusively for paragliding and hang gliding pilots. Instead of making you decipher dozens of complex weather charts, GlideDay analyzes the data for you and gives you a clear score from 0 to 100 on the "Flight Quality".
Choose your Wing in your profile, and the algorithm will adapt to your needs:
• Paraglider or Hang Glider? The app will look for days with laminar wind and clear skies for safe flights and perfect thermals.
• Speedfly / Miniwing? The app will analyze windows of stronger wind for maximum fun.
MAIN FEATURES:
• Ruthless Algorithm: We analyze Wind Speed, Gusts (Turbulence), Rain, and Thunderstorm Risk (Cumulonimbus) to tell you exactly when your feet should leave the ground.
• Smart Push Notifications: Add your favorite takeoffs, and we'll notify you when a "Perfect Flight" is on the way.
• Gear Advice: Based on altitude temperature and wind, we suggest the right outfit (e.g., thermal suit or windbreaker) and essential accessories (e.g., charged VHF radio).
• Legendary Database: Over 100 of the world's most famous takeoffs pre-loaded, from Annecy to Oludeniz, from Monte Baldo to Valle de Bravo. And if your secret takeoff isn't there, you can search and add it!
• Webcams & Maps: Access live webcams of the takeoff with a single tap to check conditions in real-time.
GLIDEDAY PREMIUM:
Upgrade to Premium to unlock the app's full potential:
• Extended 10-day forecasts (to plan your weekends or flying trips in advance).
• Unlimited takeoffs saved on your Home screen.
• Unlimited push notifications across all your spots.
Stop taking risks in the air. Download GlideDay, pack your wing, and enjoy the perfect flight.
