English Speaking - Hermit

Practice that adapts to you

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Hermit helps you practice speaking English for meetings, interviews, calls, and real conversations. If you know English but freeze when it is time to speak, Hermit gives you guided speaking practice, feedback, vocabulary review, and calm progress tracking so you can speak with more confidence. This is not another grammar-drill app. Hermit is for professionals and serious English learners who feel less expressive in English than in their first language. With Hermit, you can: • Practice speaking at your level • Get feedback after each session • Turn mistakes into focused exercises • Build vocabulary you can actually use • Track progress, streaks, and session history • Book live sessions with real teachers Use Hermit if you: • Go blank when speaking English • Feel nervous in meetings • Translate too much in your head • Sound more shy or robotic than you really are • Want to speak with more calm, flow, and presence The goal is not perfect English. The goal is to stay visible while speaking. Live lessons: blur your background so only you are in focus. A lesson board and lesson map right inside the call. The board opens full screen, and you can see your teacher's pointer and follow their view. See your camera before joining, hear a chime when your teacher arrives, see their shared screen, and keep hearing the lesson with the screen locked. Sharper video and steadier calls. New speaking games, including the Detective and Courtroom games. A fresh welcome and quicker setup for new learners. Booking now shows a full week and your local times. Smoother speaking practice, plus many fixes and polish.
