Meal Queue Give the groceries you own a plan. Meal Queue connects named meals to counted pantry items, shows shortages across queued meals and updates inventory only when you confirm what you cooked. 1. Open Pantry → Meal Queue. Name a meal, choose its planned day and add optional notes. 2. Choose an active pantry item and a whole-unit quantity, then add it to the meal. Adding the same item again replaces its draft quantity. 3. Save the plan. Each line shows units needed for this meal, units on the shelf and reservations across all queued meals. A shortage blocks consumption until plans or stock are corrected. 4. After cooking, choose Review and mark cooked, review the item quantities and confirm Consume reserved units. Partial consumption keeps the remaining stock active and creates a used-history record. 5. Use Settings → Create full backup to include queued and cooked meals, pantry photos, shopping items and preferences. Restore replaces current data after confirmation; older backups without meal plans clear existing plans. Units are the inventory counts you entered, not grams or recipe servings. Plans do not automatically buy, reserve physical food, schedule meals in Calendar or change reminders. Dates provide planning context, not food-safety decisions. Follow package and storage instructions. Removing cooked history does not restore consumed stock. Cooking cannot be undone in Meal Queue.

Opened-package guidance: record when a package was opened and Pantry Snap uses the bundled USDA FoodKeeper data for the selected pantry, refrigerator, or freezer location, including opened refrigerated timelines when available. Better decisions: every item can show practical storage and spoilage warnings. A past generic date no longer automatically labels food unsafe or offers one-tap disposal. More resilient capture: recognize barcodes and date labels from the camera or a saved photo, type barcode digits manually, set dates yourself, or use a FoodKeeper estimate. Likely duplicates are flagged before saving. Safer local backups: create a complete on-device backup with photos, shopping items, and settings. Restores are validated before an atomic replacement, and reminders are reconciled afterward. Larger text, VoiceOver descriptions, widgets, Siri wording, and reminder messages have also been refined. Everything remains private and on device: no account, analytics, ads, or pantry-data uploads. ```

**7-Day Rescue Forecast** Insights now includes a forward-looking rescue forecast that ranks active food by expiration urgency and shows what needs attention this week. **Priority Queue** The forecast highlights the highest-risk items first, including expired items, items expiring today, and foods with only a few days left. **Hot Spot and Action Plan** Pantry Snapper now identifies the storage area and category with the most urgency, then suggests practical next actions such as reviewing expired items, cooking the priority item, checking the fridge, or planning around a category. **Metadata and Screenshot Refresh** Store copy, privacy URLs, support pages, and screenshots were refreshed to match the current app and avoid outdated price or feature claims.

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, plus small display fixes. iPhone is unchanged.
