v1.4 closes the inclusion gap on Fasting Mode and clarifies what runs on your iPhone vs what runs in the cloud. Both opt-in. Both off by default.
3 NEW FASTING TRADITIONS
Christian observances join the list:
- Lent (Catholic / Protestant): 40-day observance. Auto-prompt on Ash Wednesday. Friday abstinence reminders. Medication never breaks the fast per CIC canon 919.
- Good Friday: solemn 24-hour observance. Western and Orthodox dates supported.
- Great Lent (Orthodox): 55-day observance with weekly Wednesday and Friday awareness. Auto-prompt on Clean Monday.
Easter dates computed locally via Gauss and Meeus algorithms. No internet required.

HONEST AI BOUNDARIES
Side Effects and Interactions now show two clearly-labeled sections:
- On-device: drug-class heuristics that always work, never touch the network, available without any opt-in.
- Cloud Claude AI: richer combo-risk ranking via Anthropic Claude. Gated behind Settings > Privacy > Enhanced AI. Off by default. Clearly labeled when active.
The Interactions tab now shows a clear "Enhanced AI off" state instead of silently returning "no interactions" when the cloud check is disabled. This prevents a dangerous false negative.
DEMO STACK REFRESH
The seeded demo medications now use international nonproprietary names recognizable to any chronic-condition adult: Lisinopril, Atorvastatin, Metformin, Sertraline, Aspirin, Dextroamphetamine. No trademarks.
APPLE WATCH SYNC FIXES
Apple Watch demo data now mirrors the iPhone stack so caregivers see the same medications across both devices in real time via WCSession.
POLISH
- Each fasting tradition gets a unique SF Symbol so the picker reads at a glance.
