We replaced the noisy "X new comments on a thread" pings with targeted ones — you only hear about a comment when someone actually replies to you or @-mentions you. Post authors still get pinged on direct top-level comments to their post.

Tapping into a post from Explore, Notifications, or anywhere else now returns you to where you tapped from, instead of jumping you to a different tab.
Faster, fairer comment sort
Comment lists now use a hot-score that mixes engagement and freshness — popular takes stay near the top, but old ones eventually fade so corrections and fresh information can climb up.
Tap-to-open notifications fixed
Tapping a thread or comment notification now reliably opens the right post.
