v1.20 fixes a calibration error in the muriatic acid recommendation (thank you JW), doses were running roughly 2× higher than they should be and are now corrected. This update also adds a Home Screen widget so you can glance at your FC, pH, and health score without opening the app (Small and Medium sizes). Predictive reminders now fire when FC is low or pH is drifting high (especially useful for SWG pools), and all reminders have moved to the Tasks tab for a cleaner layout. You can also now set your pool surface type (Plaster, Pebble, Vinyl, or Fiberglass) so LSI targets are tuned to your specific surface.

Smarter recommendations and clearer water-balance guidance. • Smarter dosing advice — when a drain is needed to lower stabilizer, we no longer push chlorine toward an inflated target. High pH and alkalinity now fold into a single acid-then-aerate step instead of double-dosing acid, and chlorine boosts are sized to your actual need. • Water balance (LSI) at a glance — when your balance drifts out of range, the dashboard now points you straight to the LSI tab, and a new "Check LSI Balance" card appears after logging so scaling or corrosion issues don't slip by. • Reminder badge (Pro) — a red badge now appears on the app icon when a reminder is due, so you never miss a water test. It clears the moment you open the app. • Various fixes and refinements.

• Tasks tab — new equipment maintenance tracker with due dates, overdue alerts, and a red dot badge when something needs attention. Tracks skimmer, pump basket, filter, SWG cell, and more based on your pool setup. • Filter pressure tracker — log baseline and current PSI for sand/DE filters to know exactly when to backwash. • Task completion history (Pro) — tap any task to see a full log of past completion dates. Custom intervals per task also now available for Pro users. • Inventory improvements — chemical name now uses a native picker, and each inventory item shows "On hand" and "Last added" as separate labeled fields. • Free tier update — the free tier now includes 5 complete water tests with full recommendations. Log form redesigned. The entry form is now split into two labeled sections. "Readings for Calculations & Recommendations" groups the parameters that drive your health score, LSI, and dosing advice (Temp, FC, TC, pH, TA, CH, CYA, Salt). "Tracking Only" groups Iron, Copper, and Phosphates below a clear divider — still logged, just visually separated from what the app calculates with. History table. Column order now matches the log form, making it easier to cross-reference past readings with what you just entered. Desert / Arid climate fix. Corrected the pH target range for users with Desert or Arid climate selected. Previous range was 7.7–7.9 (target 7.8); corrected to 7.6–7.8 (target 7.6). Smarter chlorine recommendations. Fixed a case where a chlorine boost recommendation appeared unnecessarily when both CYA was low and FC was deficient at the same time. The app now correctly holds the chlorine step until after CYA is corrected, with clearer guidance on sequencing. Shock step notes also updated to clarify that CYA should be added after shock is complete, not during.

What's New in v1.14 Smarter recommendations — Fixed several cases where the app showed conflicting or redundant advice: shocking no longer generates a separate "add chlorine" step, and the app won't tell you to stop adding chlorine while also telling you to shock. When both pH and alkalinity need acid, the cards now explain that the pH dose also lowers TA — add one at a time and retest. When both CYA and calcium hardness need a drain, both cards flag it so you can do a single combined drain. Reminder fix — Weekly and custom reminders no longer reset their countdown every time you open the app. Reminders now fire reliably on schedule. SWG salt range updated — The target range for saltwater pools has been widened to 2,700–4,000 ppm, better reflecting real-world SWG operating ranges. More context in the log form — Tap any ⓘ icon next to a field while logging a reading to learn what that parameter means and why it matters. New quick-reference cards for beginners and dose calculators added to the Reference tab.

Bug Fixes •Reminders now fire correctly. Notifications were being cancelled and rescheduled every time the app opened, resetting the countdown. Fixed — existing timers are preserved across app launches. • Improved chemical dose accuracy. Dosing recommendations for muriatic acid, baking soda, CYA stabilizer, and pool salt have been recalibrated. If previous doses felt off, retesting after adding chemicals remains the best practice.

Fixed an issue where SWG (salt water generator) pool tips were appearing for non-SWG pools. Recommendations and trend insights that reference electrolysis and pH drift are now only shown when your pool is configured as a salt system in Settings.

Fixed reminder notifications (inventory, SWG cell, filter) that were not firing due to timers resetting on every app launch. Also fixed the water test reminder re-enabling itself after logging a reading. Fixed FC recommendations now correctly scale thresholds to your CYA level — pools with higher stabilizer were seeing inaccurate sanitizer minimums and swim-safe guidance.

Tap ⓘ on any recommendation card to read a plain-language article about the chemistry behind it. Shock and Boost chlorine recommendations now show a starting-dose calculation so you know exactly where to begin.

User request: Inventory now lets you type any item you want to add by name. Also added algaecide, clarifier and metal remover the drop down. Calcium hardness recommendations are smarter: drain advice only appears when your water chemistry is actually scale-forming.
