OxalateGuard is an oxalate tracker for people with kidney stones and anyone on a low-oxalate diet. It was built by a kidney stone patient after two surgeries and a dietitian who had to Google "oxalate".
WHAT IT DOES
Search 2,900+ foods
Every food shows its oxalate in portions you actually use: a teaspoon, a cup, a handful. Not just "per 100 grams."
Scan a barcode
Point your camera at a packaged food. We read the ingredient list and estimate the oxalate, even for products no database has heard of. If we couldn't work out part of a product, we tell you instead of guessing.
Check a restaurant menu
Photograph a menu and see which dishes are likely high in oxalate, plus what to ask your server.
Log your day
A simple food diary with your oxalate total against your daily limit. Premium adds sodium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium detail, calories and macros.
Track water
Log what you drink against a daily goal, because staying hydrated matters more for stones than almost anything else.
Convert a recipe
Paste any recipe and see the oxalate per serving, with swaps that bring it down.
Share with your care team
Make a report of your eating to show your urologist, nephrologist or dietitian.
APPLE HEALTH (PREMIUM)
Turn on Apple Health sync and OxalateGuard sends the calories, protein, fat, carbs, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium and water from your log to the Health app, where your other apps can use them. If another app already sends one of those, we skip it and tell you, so nothing gets counted twice. You choose exactly what's sent, and you can turn it off anytime.
Apple Health doesn't have a place for oxalate, so your oxalate numbers stay in OxalateGuard. Nothing we read from Apple Health leaves your iPhone.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Oxalate lists online contradict each other, sometimes by ten times or more for the same food. We don't pick the scariest or the friendliest number. Every food page on oxalateguard.com shows where its value comes from, and says so plainly when a food has no published source.
