more Version 2.2.1 — small improvements for live use
• The Stop button has moved to the edge of the bottom bar, away from Pause and Fade Out. Your thumb finds it without looking, and accidental full stops are history.
• Fixed the long-press menu jumping on iPad.
• Minor fixes and stability improvements.
2.2.1 Jul 9
SoundBoard Pro 2.2 introduces Show mode — run an entire performance from a single GO button.
1) Show mode (Premium)
Build a cue list from your sounds and step through the show one GO at a time. Reorder cues by dragging, attach notes to cues
("after the line..."), and split the script with section headings. The playing cue shows a live countdown that turns orange
in the last seconds, and a standby strip above GO always shows what comes next. Long-press a cue to add actions for that
sound: fade out with a custom length, stop, or a smooth volume change. Cues can also auto-continue to the next one with a
delay, so whole sequences run themselves. GO works from the spacebar, a MIDI pad or footswitch, or from a second device via
Remote control. The show is saved with your profile and survives a restart mid-performance.
2) Better live control on iPad
Larger Pause, Stop and Fade Out buttons with labels in landscape, with Stop tinted red. An optional clock with seconds in
the top bar (enable it in Settings). Talk can now duck the music all the way down to 0%.
3) Fixes and polish
"Play at time" is now strictly one-shot and switches itself off after firing. Sounds without a custom name display as Artist
- Title. The bank settings menu has been reorganized. Plus many smaller fixes throughout.
2.2.0 Jul 7
- Remote control: use your iPhone as a wireless remote for the iPad running your show. Trigger sounds, fade, stop, and
adjust volume from your hand. Works without a Wi-Fi network.
- A guided welcome tour for new users, with a ready-to-play demo bank.
- MIDI: pin a specific sound to a specific pad, independent of the active bank.
- Reliability improvements and fixes.
Thanks for using SoundBoard Pro!
2.1.0 Jul 1
MIDI controller support — the big one.
Connect a Novation Launchpad Mini MK3 and play your soundboard from real, light-up pads. Banks and buttons map
straight onto the grid with full RGB feedback — the pad lights up to match your colors, pulses while a sound plays,
and dedicated Stop and Talk keys glow when active. Using a different controller? MIDI Learn lets you remap any pad to
any button.
iCloud profile sync.
Keep your banks, buttons, and sounds in sync across all your devices on the same Apple ID. Edit on one iPad and pick
up right where you left off on another — everything stays fully offline-ready, so playback is always instant.
Polish all around:
- Album artwork now shows on your sound buttons
- Smarter search — clear-to-reset and artist names in results
- Column layout is remembered separately for portrait and landscape
- Major reliability work on audio storage so your sounds stay put
Thanks for using SoundBoard Pro. Got feedback or a feature request? We'd love to hear it.

- app rating request
- "Before the show" help section
- bug fixes
1.10.0 Jun 22
iCloud Sync
Your SoundBoard profiles are now available across all your devices. Save a profile to iCloud from one iPad or
iPhone and load it on another — banks, buttons, and audio files included. Only changed audio files are
transferred, so syncing is fast even with large profiles.
- Tap Save to Cloud to upload your current profile
- A notification appears automatically on your other devices when a newer version is available
- Tap Load from Cloud to switch to a profile saved from another device
- Tap Sync Now to manually check for updates before a show
- The icon turns orange while uploading and blue when in sync
- Up to 5 profiles can be stored in iCloud
Improvements
- Clear (×) button added to button name fields for quick editing
- Progress bar shown while downloading a profile from iCloud
- Version conflict notifications no longer repeat for the same cloud version — they reappear only when a newer
version is saved from another device
Requires iCloud Drive enabled with the same Apple ID on all devices.

1.8.0 Jun 14
New features
• Trim editor: drag the start/end cue markers directly on the waveform
• Fade Out button now shows live progress while the fade is running
• Pause button gently pulses orange to remind you playback is waiting
• The "add bank" button stays visible while reordering, no matter how far you scroll
• Refreshed color palette: new teal, yellow and pink button colors
Design
• Unified, iOS-style look across all menus: button settings, bank settings, app settings and the trim editor
• MULTI / SOLO / CONT is now a native-style segmented switch
• Trim moved right below Volume in the button menu
Reliability
• Sounds are now stored under their button names, making file management in the Files app much easier

• Stop now also cancels pause mode and any running fade
• You'll be notified if a sound can't be saved (e.g. storage full) — the app retries automatically
• Improved memory management for large sound libraries
• Fixed a rare crash on Apple Watch
• Security hardening and many smaller fixes
Detailed changelog (internal / web)
New
- Draggable trim handles: grab the green (start) or red (end) marker directly on the waveform; works with zoom, live
time readout while dragging
- Fade Out transport button: purple progress fill synced with the 2.5 s fade
- Active Pause: orange "breathing" indication; Stop exits pause mode and stops the blink
- Sticky add-bank (+) button in reorder mode
- Color palette: gray → teal, gold → yellow, new 8th color pink (Watch app included)
Design
- Unified design system for context menus, settings panel and trim editor: consistent icon column, logical separator
Reliability & fixes
- Audio files saved under human-readable names (Bank/Label.mp3); smarter recovery of sound-to-button links
(bank-scoped lookup, no ID recycling) — fixes mismatched sounds after delete & re-import
- Write failures (full storage) now show an alert, keep the sound safe in memory and retry automatically;
share/export failures also report
- LRU memory cache (80 MB cap) with memory-warning handling — prevents out-of-memory crashes with large libraries
- Fades are properly cancelled by play/stop/pause/volume changes; finished or failed sounds no longer leave buttons
stuck in "playing"
- Voice recordings finalized safely before processing
- Fixed Apple Watch crash when banks shrink; fixed audio-route observer leak; fixed a missing translation; security
hardening of the import path (script-injection fixes)
1.7.0 Jun 12
Bug fixes and performance improvements.
1.6.5 Jun 11
bug fixes and performance improvements
1.6.4 Jun 4
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where imported profiles showed buttons without sound after transferring the Sounds folder from
another device. Audio files are now correctly located by matching the original button ID from the source device,
enabling reliable cross-device profile sharing.
1.6.3 Jun 3
Bug fixes and performance improvements.
1.6.2 May 29
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where pressing a Voicetrack button in CONT mode could trigger the next button in the sequence via
crossfade. Voicetrack buttons are now fully excluded from the CONT chain.
- Fixed Voicetrack ducking occasionally not working on the first press when a crossfade was already in progress. Any
active crossfade is now cancelled before ducking begins.
- Fixed saved profiles not appearing in Settings after an app update. The profile list now always reloads correctly
from the database on launch.
1.6.1 May 28
Voicetrack Ducking
Mark any button as a Voicetrack. When triggered, all currently playing sounds smoothly fade down to your Talk
level, the voicetrack plays, and background audio fades back up automatically when it ends.
Stop Point
Add a Stop Point to any button in CONT mode — playback stops after that button instead of chaining to the next one.
No Crossfade per Button
Override the global crossfade setting on individual buttons. Useful when a specific sound should always start
immediately regardless of the crossfade setting.
Settings Now Persist
Play mode (Single / Multi / CONT), crossfade on/off, crossfade length, and Talk duck level are now remembered across
app restarts.
CONT Mode Bank Fix
In CONT mode, the playback chain now stays within the bank where the sound originated, even if you switch to a
different bank mid-sequence.
Crossfade Mid-Playback Fix
Enabling crossfade while a track is already playing now correctly schedules the crossfade handoff for the current
song.
Talk Duck Level: 5% Option
Added a 5 % option to the Talk duck level menu for more aggressive ducking.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
Updated help section with descriptions of all new features. Minor UI improvements to the button settings menu.
1.6.0 May 27
Bug Fixes
- Fixed audio mismatch after switching profiles — warning indicators from one profile no longer carry over when
switching back to another
- Fixed button colors not updating correctly when sounds are imported via native file picker
- Fixed button ID collision that could cause audio to overwrite existing sounds on import
Improvements
- Automatic backups are now per-profile — one backup per profile is kept and updated on every backup cycle, instead of
a shared pool of 3
- Backup list now shows the profile name as the primary label
- Profile list now shows bank and button count alongside the save date
- Active profile auto-saves silently every 5 minutes while in use
- Maximum number of saved profiles increased to 5
Help & Translations
- Added help entries for previously undocumented features: Fade In/Out, Auto-trim, Cue points, Bank loop, Haptic
