Biketune turns a supported ELM327 / OBD-II adapter into a motorcycle diagnostic scanner you can carry in your pocket. Connect over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, read your bike's stored fault codes, watch live engine data, and reset the service reminder — without booking a dealer slot. WHAT IT DOES • Read & clear trouble codes (DTCs) across every reachable ECU — engine, ABS, instrument cluster, body controller. • Live engine data — RPM, vehicle speed, coolant temperature, throttle position, battery voltage, intake-air temperature, run time, gear. • Trip recording — capture sensor values at 1 Hz during a ride, replay the chart later from the bike's detail screen. • Service reminder reset — write the next-service km, date, and bike clock back to the cluster, the way the dealer does. • Tire-pressure monitoring — read live TPMS status, calibrate or trigger individual wheel sensors. • ABS, chassis, and adaptation reads for power-users. • Programming info — VIN, ECU name, calibration ID, BMW chassis code and part numbers. • Freeze-frame snapshot — see exactly what the engine was doing when a stored DTC was set. • DID Explorer + Raw Console — for the ones who want to write their own diagnostic queries. • Demo mode — try every screen without owning an adapter, and use it offline anywhere. • Liquid Glass UI built natively for iOS 26. COMPATIBILITY • Generic OBD-II — works with any motorcycle or car that speaks SAE J1979 over CAN (most post-2008 vehicles), regardless of make. • BMW® motorcycles — the deepest support, with model-specific reads for the S 1000 RR / R / XR, R 1200 / 1250 / 1300 GS family, R 1200 / 1250 RT, K 1600, F 750 / 800 / 850 / 900, R nineT, R 12, the K-brick four-cylinders, and the R 18. Pre-CAN K-line bikes (oilheads, Funduros, K 1100 / K 1200 RS / LT) get a dedicated legacy profile. ADAPTER SUPPORT Works with common ELM327-class Bluetooth + Wi-Fi adapters (vGate iCar, Veepeak, OBDLink, BAFX, plus most clones). Cheaper clones often skip CAN extended-addressing; without it the BMW UDS features (Service Reset, Adaptations, Coding, Actuator tests) won't work. The Adapter screen surfaces the connection's compatibility tier (Full / Partial / Not supported) the first time you pair, and Settings → Adapter → Run compatibility check probes every feature against your specific bike + adapter combo before you rely on it. WHAT MIGHT NOT WORK Diagnostic depth depends on your bike + adapter combination, and Biketune is honest about it. Generic OBD-II reads (DTCs, live engine data, freeze frame, programming info) work on any post-2008 motorcycle or car that speaks SAE J1979 over CAN, with most ELM327-class adapters. BMW-specific writes (Service Reset, ABS bleed, TPMS calibrate, Adaptations, Coding, Chassis I/O) need a BMW K-family bike *and* an adapter with proper UDS support — every bike model has its own quirks, and not every cheap clone responds correctly. **Try Demo mode first** to see every screen the app ships, then run the in-app compatibility check on your real bike before paying for Pro. If something a feature you expected isn't surfacing, send a compatibility report from Settings → Adapter and I'll extend the support matrix. PRIVACY + SYNC Your garage, sessions, and trip recordings live on your device. Sign in with Apple to unlock optional iCloud sync for your bike list and adapter pairings — that data round-trips through your private iCloud key-value store, not our servers.
