AI Workout & Macro Tracker
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Stop running two apps. Coachly tracks your workouts AND your macros in one place, with an AI coach that adapts your training and calories based on your sleep, recovery, and Apple Health data.

WHAT YOU GET
Structured training programs
8-week phases. Upper/Lower, Push/Pull/Legs, Full Body. Hypertrophy and strength blocks built for body recomp.
Real macro tracking
Hit your protein target, log meals fast, hit your calorie goal. Calories adjust automatically for training days vs rest days.
An AI coach that knows your week
Ask Coachly should I push today and get an answer based on your actual sleep, HRV, recent volume, and yesterday's macros. Not a generic LLM.
Apple Health integration
Reads training load, sleep, and HRV. Bumps your calorie target when you PR. Softens next week's intensity when you're under-recovered.
Programmed cuts, recomps, and lean bulks
Pick your phase. The plan adapts: calorie deficit during a cut, surplus during a bulk, maintenance during a recomp. Macros adjust as your training volume changes.
---
WHO IT'S FOR
- Intermediate to advanced lifters (4-6 sessions per week)
- People running a cut, recomp, or lean bulk who want structure
- Anyone tired of running a workout app AND a separate macro app

1.3.2 Sep 30
Better targets when you change goal.
Maintenance now carries the same protein target as building muscle: 2 g per kg of bodyweight. Protein steps down over the same weeks as your calories after a goal change, so it no longer drops on day one.
The coach reads your weekly check-in, knows when your calories are part-way through a change, and gives weights in pounds if you log in pounds.
Fixes:
• A workout you've started runs to the end, even if your subscription lapses partway through.
• Coachly offers a free trial only when your Apple ID can take one.
• The weekly check-in takes your weight in your own unit.
• A weight you change in Profile updates your targets.
• Saving the calories editor during a calorie change no longer moves your target.
• A calorie change carries across a sign-out and onto a second phone.
• Open the app and it picks up what you logged on your other device.
• The number you see at sign-up matches the Eat tab.
• Coachly compares lifts logged in pounds and kilograms in one unit, so a heavier set counts as a PB.
• End-of-phase prompts wait until you've trained the phase.
• Recovery mode hides streaks on every screen and in notifications.
• Meal Plan tells you once your targets move, and a swapped meal updates the shopping list.
1.3.1 Sep 16
Coachly Pro starts with a 7-day free trial again. You get every feature for a week, and you can cancel in Settings before it ends without being charged.
Onboarding now tells you what Coachly costs before you commit, and the calorie target you set on the way through carries into your first day.
Two bugs are gone: a network drop could lock a paying subscriber out of their own workouts, and a referral code from a friend could fail to apply.
1.3.0 Sep 12
Coachly writes your week and rebuilds it from what you log. In this update:
• A shorter, clearer setup. Phone permissions have their own screen, and you can enter a creator or referral code on the last step.
• Leaving the app in the background no longer signs you out.
• US foods are easier to find, and ml and oz servings read as written.
• Fixes: the height unit converts your number, the calorie target has sensible limits, and your split follows your training days.
1.2.9 Sep 9
Your calories add up. Each food adds up to its meal, meals add up to your day, and the day matches what Home and Progress show.
Drinks count. A glass of wine or a pint used to lose most of its calories before it reached your daily total.
The ring tells you when you go over your target, and by how much.
Your calories and macros can disagree on a day with a drink or a lot of fibre in it. The app now explains why instead of leaving you to work it out.
Your coach answers offline instead of replying with a blank message.
1.2.8 Sep 2
Prices now show in your own currency, wherever you are.
Sessions match the time you asked for. A strength day built for an hour is an hour, with the rest between sets counted rather than ignored.
If you train in pounds, weights land on plates and rack dumbbells that exist. No more numbers converted across from kilos.
No barbell lift is ever prescribed below the weight of the empty bar, on any day, including a deload.
Coachly asks each morning whether you are training today, and names the session waiting for you.
1.2.7 Aug 30
Pick the training style for each day. Strength, hypertrophy or a mix, set for one workout or for the rest of the phase.
Change the rep range on any exercise mid-session. Every option shows the weight you get at that range, worked out from your own history for that lift. The app never programs below 4 reps.
Wave off a deload on a single lift. If one exercise gets eased back and you feel fine, one tap trains it as normal for the week. A scheduled deload week still runs.
Onboarding asks what equipment you have. Full gym, home setup or bodyweight only, and Coachly builds the plan from the kit you can reach.
Calories match across the app. Home, the Eat ring, meal chips and the coach all read one number.
Session times are honest. The length on the card is the session you are about to do, rest included.
Weights and reps you type now survive leaving the app mid-workout.
Apple Health gets time to show its permission sheet instead of timing out.
1.2.6 Aug 27
Start free. Train, eat against your targets, talk to the coach, and watch the plan rewrite itself from what you did.
Setting up takes 6 screens now instead of 10, and you choose light or dark on the first one. Coachly opens in dark by default.
Restore purchases and referral codes both moved to Profile, so you can reach them without hunting. Your session also survives the app closing mid-workout.
1.2.5 Aug 16
Set your own calories and macros. The Eat tab has a new Edit calories & macros button: pick your daily calorie target, then set protein, carbs and fat as percentages.
Protein targets now account for body composition, so heavier lifters get a number they can hit rather than one that was out of reach.
Workout reminders name the session waiting for you. After you train, your plan shows what changed.
1.2.4 Aug 9
Progress photos, built in.
Take your photo in the app with your last one ghosted on the screen, so every shot lines up the same way. A slider wipes between any two so you can see the change. Each photo keeps the weight you were at and the date you took it, so an older photo you import stays on its real date.
Photos are stored on your phone, never uploaded, and sit outside your account backup. Lock the gallery behind Face ID. Export the whole set whenever you want.
Give a friend a free month, get one back.
Your code sits at the top of your profile. Send it to a friend and their first month of Pro is free. They stay on as a member and you earn a free month too, up to three.
Faster and steadier.
The app opens quicker. Your notification settings survive an update. Sets you log mid-workout survive a phone call or a locked screen. The app tour now matches the light theme.
1.2.3 Jul 30
Fixes and improvements:
• Fixed a bug where food you logged could disappear if your device storage was full.
• More accurate deload weeks. Coachly no longer drops your weight when your lifts are actually still progressing.
• Exercise swaps you choose to keep now stick for the rest of your phase, from both the workout preview and during a session.
• Your in-progress workout is protected if your phone runs low on storage mid-session.
1.2.2 Jul 27
Faster setup: turn on Apple Health, Sleep, and reminders in one tap during onboarding.
New: restart your training block at Phase 1, Week 1 whenever you want a clean slate.
Sleep and resting heart rate now feed your recovery tracking.
One clear coach disclaimer instead of several.
Fixed the calorie breakdown math and a first-run coach message.
Rate Coachly right from your Profile.
1.2.1 Jul 22
New in 1.2.0:
• Hit a PR and the app celebrates it. Share it with one tap.
• Your coach opens the conversation with what you did last session.
• See your training week at a glance: build, heavy, peak or deload.
• Broke a streak? The app shows you the way back.
• Come back after time off to a proper welcome, with your working weights held.
• A recap of your first week, with your real numbers.
• Barcode scans now log one portion of the item in your hand, not 100g.
• Reliability and performance improvements throughout.
1.2.0 Jul 6
What's New
This update improves exercise selection. Your programmes will now include more familiar, widely used exercises instead of uncommon variations, making workouts more enjoyable while staying true to evidence based training.
1.1.0 Jul 1
Small performance and reliability improvements.
1.0.9 Jun 30
Plan your week in the Eat tab. Tap forward to any upcoming day and log meals before you eat them.
Your logged sets stay put. Switch apps mid-workout and everything you logged is still there when you come back, including exercises you added or swapped.
Pounds show as pounds. Workout suggestions and coaching notes now match your chosen unit.
Better coaching after a break. Return from time off and the app holds your working weight, flags that it has been a while, and lets you ease back in.
Plus deload-week accuracy fixes across the training engine.
1.0.8 Jun 25
New: form videos and rebuilt deload weeks.
• 29 of the most-used exercises now have real demo videos in the player, so you can check your form between sets.
• We rebuilt deload weeks. The app eases your load by the right amount, never prescribes a "deload" heavier than your working weight, and starts your next training block back at your working weight instead of the lighter deload load.
• Calorie and protein targets now ramp when you change goals, with a gradual reverse diet moving from a cut into a bulk.
• Your weekly check-in reads calories and protein as the week's average against target. Post-workout summaries pull real PRs from your history and recognise deload weeks, so a lighter session never counts as a personal record.
1.0.7 Jun 22
Affiliate referrals — paste a creator's code on the paywall and they get credit when you upgrade. If their code links to an Apple promo, you also get an extended free trial.
Tidier Eat tab — the sources for calorie calculations now collapse behind a tap.
"Build Muscle" is now labelled "Bulk" — clearer, matches the language people actually use.
Bug fixes:
• Onboarding screens scroll properly on every iPhone — no more clipped content on Pro models.
• Adaptive nutrition stops re-notifying about the same calorie adjustment after a sync.
• Banning multiple exercises in a row is faster — your search term stays put while you tap.
• Resumed workouts no longer crash on incomplete saved snapshots.
1.0.6 Jun 1
• Protein streak now shows your pending streak through the day — see what's at stake before you finish today's macros.
• Swipe to delete a weight entry from the History list.
• Smarter calorie adjustment: fortnightly cadence with intraday weigh-in noise filtered out, so the target stops chopping and changing.
• Native rating sheet after great sessions — rate without leaving the app.
• Quieter under the hood: silenced known Apple Health diagnostic noise, stabilised the privacy and notifications toggles.
1.0.5 May 24
Tester-driven polish + fixes:
• Weekly check-in: your coach now writes a personalised review based on your actual reflection, not a templated message.
• Recently used foods open the same picker as a fresh scan — pick a new amount in grams or portions every time.
• Calorie ring and macro bars finally agree — hitting your macros now hits your calorie target.
• Bodyweight exercises (push-ups, pull-ups) are now counted properly in your post-workout summary.
• Logging today's weight twice no longer wipes out the morning's calorie adjustment.
• The coach's weekly average no longer counts today's partial intake — no more false "you're under-eating" alarms in the afternoon.
1.0.4 May 20
Touch reliability improvements:
• Taps in food search, exercise swap, drag-to-reorder and quick-pick food lists now reliably land on the row your finger is on
• Swipe-to-delete works smoothly from anywhere on a row, not just the top
• Cleaner press feedback throughout
• Various stability improvements
1.0.3 May 16
Bug fixes and improvements:
• Home tab: fixed daily Calories and Protein totals showing 0 for some users
• Add Exercise: Back, Legs, and Core filter chips now show all matching exercises
• Workout: more reliable tap detection when swapping exercises mid-session
• Stats → Apple Health: new Daily breakdown showing your exact step count for the past 14 days
• Various stability improvements
1.0.2 May 14
Quality of life fixes from the beta.
• Cardio exercises now log with distance or duration instead of reps and kg
• Flexible meal slots — default Meal 1–4 plus the option to add more
• Per-meal protein totals shown alongside calories
• Rest timer keeps counting when you switch apps mid-set
• Step push notifications no longer show stale numbers
• Apple Health and crash report toggles stay where you set them
• Stats step target now matches your Profile setting
• Snappier workout buttons with proper haptics, and more accurate taps in lists
• Cleaner, more honest coach replies
Thanks for the beta feedback that drove all of this.
