Fixed a bug where the puzzle board could appear very small during a game after using lobby chat. Pending game invites now show right on your Home screen, so you'll never miss a challenge from a friend. Plus the usual round of fixes and polish.

Every puzzle is now guaranteed solvable by reasoning alone. Previously a small number of Hard and Expert boards could only be finished by guessing — those are gone, on all four difficulties. Also fixes a problem where picking a username could quietly fail, which in rare cases left a player harder for friends to find. If the name you want is taken you'll now be told straight away.

EASIER TO READ IN DARK MODE Text boxes were showing grey text on a black background — nearly unreadable when picking a username, entering a referral code, or typing in chat. Every input in the app now has proper contrast in both light and dark mode. FIXES • New accounts could end up with a blank display name. • New players now reliably start with 10 Quickets. RANKING OVERHAUL Rank points now scale with the size of the match. Beat three opponents and you gain three times what you'd gain from beating one, while a loss always costs the same. No lobby size is worth farming any more. REBALANCED TIERS Bronze through Grandmaster now sit at thresholds you can actually reach, and your rank can no longer drop below zero. Music is back. The intro track, the full song and the end-of-game outro all went silent in the previous version. This update restores them. Rank points are now zero-sum — the winner gains exactly what the other players lose, so a win counts for more in a bigger lobby. Rank tiers are much easier to reach, and your rank no longer drops below zero.

Pencil marks now clear themselves. When a square gets solved, that number disappears from the notes in its row, column and box — including when an opponent claims it. Rules & Scoring is now reachable from any score breakdown, so you can check how points work without leaving the game. Retired the animated player colors and added eight new premium ones: Obsidian, Platinum, Champagne, Sapphire, Ember, Peacock, Orchid and Bronze. Gift amounts now start at the actual minimum instead of an amount that would be rejected. Fixed the board resizing slightly when you finished a solo puzzle.

Your name, your crew, better referrals. • Referrals now reward BOTH of you — you and the friend who uses your code each get 20 Quickets. • Referral codes now stay valid for 30 days instead of 3. • Anyone who joins with your code is added as a friend automatically, and you'll get a notification telling you who joined. • Pick a display name when you sign up, so friends and referrals show the name you chose instead of a placeholder. • Kosudoku now runs on iOS 17 and later, so more of your friends can play. • Assorted fixes and polish.
