All the lyric poems of Huzur Gausul Azam Maizbhandari were composed by his caliphs and devoted followers. For generations, these spiritual lyric poems have nourished the hearts of devotees of the Maizbhandari tradition.
“Maizbhandari Geeti” is regarded as one of the oldest spiritual and folk musical traditions in the culture of Bangladesh. Due to various historical and social circumstances, these songs were not easily accessible to everyone in the past. Today, through modern technology, these spiritual songs are reaching people from all walks of life.
With this vision in mind, the “Maizbhandari Geeti” app was created to preserve and present known and lesser-known Maizbhandari songs in a single place for cultural and educational purposes.
The app contains collections of Maizbhandari lyric poems gathered from published books, traditional compilations, and community-preserved sources. Some songs have also been included from various lyric collections where original published books were unavailable.
The purpose of this app is to help preserve and share the heritage of Maizbhandari Geeti with people around the world.
