Golf Gear is a game changer for anyone managing a golf equipment collection or reselling clubs. The UI is clean and intuitive, and the AI valuation engine is where this app really shines. I tested it with my own inventory and the estimated values came back within five to ten percent of my own research within a fraction of the time. The deal analyzer feature is clever and really helps you make smarter decisions on trades and purchases. If you’re serious about golf gear, whether you’re a collector or a reseller, this is worth downloading. Highly recommend. Five stars.
Good app

The app is a good idea and the check deal feature is really cool and the only thing i’d change to the my bag is adding a search bar to find your stuff easily you do have to get a subscription to use but in my opinion it is worth it.

Hey Jackson, I really appreciate the kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the app and like the idea. I added your suggestion for a search bar on each tab. I want to hook you up with a free year since you took the time to help me improve the app. Shoot me an email golfgearapp@gmail.com. I have a neat feature dropping tomorrow which I think will make the app something we all use on a weekly basis.

You can’t even use it without paying. No free trial. Nothing. Like let me add a single club before hitting me up for some money. Make the app a couple bucks for tracking your bag and then roll out the subscription for more features. 18Birdies lets you track what you have in your bag for free for just inventory purposes. Unusable for free. The subscription could be fire if you wanted to take full advantage, but for a beginner golfer it seems like a waste.
Developer Response
Hi there. Thanks for the letting us know how you feel. We just released a new version that has many more free features: adding to your pro shop, closet, interacting on the feed, reading the gear drops, and more. We also included a few free gear uploads so you can get a feel for how the app works. The gear uploads cost us money, and when we first released the app we had a lot of users doing bulk uploads and canceling their free trial immediately. So we were forced to go a different route. But we feel we found a good middle ground with the latest release, so please hop back in and give it a try! And if you like it, we’d really appreciate updating your review. Thanks a ton for helping us grow and improve.
Great UI, Terrible Pricing.
Jasonnn95
Undervalues everything I have put in so far by at LEAST 50% or market value. For starters it said a brand new Ghost Golf cart bag was $198, and a 2024 Cobra Darkspeed driver was $93. Not sure where they are pulling comps from, but needs severe work. Do not recommend.
Developer Response
Hey Jason, I thoroughly appreciate the feedback. On a positive note, I’m really glad you liked the UI! Your callout was extremely valid about the appraisal price estimates. We did a deep dive in our appraisal functionality and found some weak spots that have since been remediated. I really appreciate you helping us improve by providing feedback. I really hope you give the app another shot! Please reach out with any questions, I’m happy to fill you in on some of the finer details on the changes we made and the new value I’m seeing for the equipment you mentioned. Golfgearapp@gmail.com. Hope to hear from you soon. All the best!
