Xplore: Plans with Friends
Save spots, decide together
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
NEW UPDATE
Xplore is the app to discover places through real videos, save them to your map and turn them into your next trip.
DISCOVER
A feed of short videos of real places, filmed by people who have been there. Tap one to reach its page: where it is, whether it's open, how much it costs and what others say.
SAVE
Everything you like lands on your map. Organise it into lists, share them with whoever you travel with, and bring in the places you save on TikTok and Instagram too.
PLAN
Tell Globie where you're going and it builds your itinerary day by day, with your saved places and the best of the destination. Or build it yourself, dragging stops wherever you want. Add flights, accommodation and travel companions, and share the trip with your friends.
RELIVE
Your map is a passport: stamps for the countries you visit, a ticket for each destination and a page for each country. Level up — Explorer, Adventurer, Globetrotter — and show off your badges on your profile.
XPLORE PREMIUM
- Trips of up to 30 days.
- Globie plans trips for you with no limit.
- Videos of up to 3 minutes.
- The Xplorer badge on your profile.
FOR CREATORS
The creator plan gives you unlimited itineraries, up to 6 links on your profile and unlimited Globie, plus a new profile that brings all your content together.
FOR BUSINESSES AND AGENCIES
Restaurants, hotels, activities and agencies get a verified account, a full listing with opening hours and a booking link, replies to reviews and a Studio showing how Xplorers see them. Agencies receive trip requests and manage their travellers from the app.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
Xplore Premium is offered as a weekly and yearly subscription; the creator, restaurant, activity, hotel and agency plans, monthly and yearly. The exact price is shown before you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and are managed from your Apple account settings.

What's new in 1.6.2
Faster, even on a weak connection
The app starts up faster by loading several things at once instead of one after another.
Photos and videos are remembered between sessions, so the feed shows up right away when you reopen the app.
Fewer server requests on every screen: everything responds faster and uses less battery and data.
On a bad connection the app no longer hangs: it tells you and lets you retry.
Plus bug fixes and stability improvements.
1.6.2 Sep 24
Version 1.6.1
Trip detection now scans your whole library
It used to stop at 4,000 photos, and since photos are read newest-first, that didn't trim "a little" — it left out anything older than roughly the past year. If you take a lot of photos, trips from years back should show up now.
Fixed: the tutorial could lock the app
Opening your first chat drew the tutorial card off-screen, taking its buttons with it, so you couldn't dismiss it or type. Fixed.
Buttons are visible in light mode
Save, Book and the buttons at the top of a place could vanish against pale cover photos. They're readable on any background now.
The app copes with a bad signal
Screens no longer spin for a minute: they fail fast and say so, instead of looking empty.
The feed is cached on your phone, so you see something straight away on a bad connection.
A video that fails because of the network recovers on its own when the signal returns, without leaving the post.
If an upload is cut off and you retry, you end up with one post, not two.
Plus smaller fixes
The "another suggestion" button in quick plan mode is no longer blank. The same place can't be added twice to a list or the map. And notifications no longer address you by your email address.

XPLORE 1.6 — Fixes
ON A BAD CONNECTION
• The app no longer hangs: if something fails, it fails in seconds and tells
you, instead of leaving you watching a spinner for a minute.
• When a screen fails to load it now says so, with a retry button. Before it
said "nothing here" — even on your own profile with 40 videos posted.
• An "offline" banner at the top, and when the signal comes back the feed
reloads on its own.
OPENING THE APP
• Opens with the feed you left, without waiting for the network. No more second
loading screen.
• The first video shows its cover while it loads, instead of a black rectangle.
VIDEOS
• A video that dies when you go into a tunnel comes back on its own when you
come out. And if it doesn't, tap it to retry.
UPLOADS
• Retrying an interrupted upload no longer creates two posts. The warning
"if the post appears on your profile, don't publish it again" is gone —
it's no longer needed.
• Videos upload without being loaded into memory first, and keep uploading with
the app in the background.
FIXES
• The "another place" button when asking for a plan was blank in three of the
modes.
• Deleting a message in chat always failed.
• The "X was added to the group" notice was never sent.
WHAT TO TEST
Put the phone in airplane mode or somewhere with bad signal and move around the
feed, your profile and chat. Then try uploading a video and cutting the network
halfway: you should end up with exactly one post.

Place lists
Group your saved places into lists: "Italians in Madrid", "Prague in
three days", whatever works. Each with its own name, emoji and colour.
• Add a place to a list from the feed or from the place itself, and
see at a glance which lists it's in.
• Filter them on the map — every pin takes its list's colour.
• Build them together. Invite whoever you like and edit as a group.
• Share them on WhatsApp or in an Xplore chat. Whoever gets it can
keep their own copy or join yours — and if they don't have Xplore,
they can still see it in the browser.
Links now open the app
An xploreplans.com link no longer strands you in the browser. And
pasting a list or a video into a chat now shows its card, cover
and all.
Your whole city
Live outside the centre? No more empty feed: switch between your
town and the city itself whenever you want.
Simpler sharing
One button, and up come the apps you actually have.
Also
• The share counter now goes up when you share.
• The "add to list" sheet always appears when you save a video.
• Fixes to the map and to post search.
• Instagram imports now bring the full description.
• Security and privacy improvements.
