TIDAL CURRENTS See which way the water is running, how fast, and when it turns. Tideline now shows the nearest NOAA current prediction station's flood and ebb speed, flow direction, and a countdown to the next slack water. Currents appear wherever NOAA publishes predictions nearby, which covers inlets, channels, rivers, and harbor entrances. Your widget now follows the location you've set in the app. Change it once and your home and lock screen widgets follow. You can still pin a widget to a specific station by long-pressing it and choosing Edit Widget. Fixed tide times on widgets set to a station in another time zone. Apple Watch: fixed the tide chart holding its position while you read it, and the day's best fishing times now roll into tomorrow once the last window has passed.

Rip current risk, breaking surf height, and surf-zone water temperature from the National Weather Service, for the beaches nearest your saved locations. Switch on alerts for any location and get notified when rip current risk climbs.
