No more banner ads. FjordPulse no longer shows banner ads anywhere — not on the map, not in the farm list, not on a farm's page, and not pinned above the tab bar. The screen is yours again. Instead, the Farms and Insights tabs are each unlocked by watching one short video, and only when you choose to. The map stays completely free. Each tab is unlocked separately, and an unlock lasts as long as you keep using the app — it only lapses after seven days without opening FjordPulse. Also in this release: • The bottom navigation bar now stays visible in Settings.

A cleaner, more immersive way to browse Norway's salmon farms. • More screen for your data: the tab bar now tucks itself away while you browse the Farms and Insights tabs. Tap the menu button (or switch tabs) to bring it back — it slides away again on its own. • Faster search on Farms: a dedicated round button opens the search bar and the sort/filter controls right below the title, and puts them away when you're done. • Returning from a farm's detail page now always lands you back on a tidy, distraction-free list. • Settings and Insights got matching compact headers, and content at the bottom of every tab is no longer covered — the last row always scrolls fully into view. • Polished launch screen: the ocean waves now render edge to edge. • Assorted layout fixes and smoother animations throughout. Data still refreshes weekly from BarentsWatch — every active Norwegian salmon farm, lice counts, disease flags and sea temperature in one app.

Version 1.1 Favorites and searches that follow you • Sign in with Apple or Google (optional) to save your favorite farms and your saved searches and sync them across all your devices. • Tap the star on any farm — from the list, the profile, or the map — to favorite it, and use the Favorites filter to see just those. • Save a search (your text, status filter and sort) and reapply it any time. • Not signed in? Favorites and searches still work on this device and merge into your account the moment you sign in. See the real site • Every farm profile now shows live satellite imagery of its actual location. • Double-tap that view to jump straight to the farm on the map. Reliability • Pull to refresh on the Farms list, plus automatic retry so a brief network hiccup no longer leaves the list empty.
