Fixes for sounds playing under the book. When the sleep timer ran out, the sound under the book cut off and the sleep sounds faded in from silence. Now the same sound carries on, and a different one eases down while the sleep sound comes up. Under the Book no longer turns off sleep detection. The sleep sounds rise gently after the book stops instead of jumping up. The book fades more evenly at the end of a sleep timer. If a chapter ends while the timer is fading the book out, the timer no longer starts over. The sounds Volume slider is now near the top of the Sleep Timer sheet.

Skip the parts you always skip. Lull 2.1 adds Skip Times, new sound tools, and better Audiobookshelf sync. • Skip Times: for each show, skip the first and last minutes of every episode, like a long intro or the ads at the end. Lull measures each episode's real length, ads included, so the end skip lands in the right place. Tap the new Skip Times button on the player. While you listen, you can also pick Start here from now on, or End here from now on. On iPhone. • Skip Times and Skip credits now remind you that the parts you skip often help pay the artists who make your shows, and ask you to support them directly. • Custom Speed: any speed from 0.5x to 3x, in small steps. • New sound tools in Settings > Playback & Audio: an Equalizer with Bass, Voice and Treble, a De-esser that softens harsh S sounds, and Mono, so both ears hear the same sound. They change the book or show, not your sleep sounds. • Show notes and Audiobookshelf book descriptions now show in full, with paragraphs and links you can tap. All of this is free. New in Premium: • When an episode or book ends at night with nothing next to play, your watch keeps watching for up to an hour. If it finds you fell asleep before the end, Lull puts you back where you drifted off, and the episode isn't marked played. • When sleep is caught 40 minutes or more after your last press, Lull no longer trusts its guess of when you drifted off. It goes back to that press, or to the last time your watch saw you up and moving, if that was later. You can turn this off in Settings > Sleep > Sleep Detection > Go back to my last press. • At night, if your watch is watching for sleep but can't read your heart rate, Lull won't play the next episode. It stops at the end of the episode and plays your sleep sounds. • Fixed: at bedtime, your watch could go a long time without reading your heart rate. Now it starts a fresh reading when Lull starts the watch. • Short moves, like a trip to the bathroom, no longer pause sleep detection. Only a walk of 5 minutes or more does, and detection starts again a minute after you stop. • Lull tells you when Lull on your watch needs an update, or when your watch can't hear your iPhone. You see it on the Lock Screen and on the morning card. Also in this update: • When an episode ends at night and your sleep sounds take over, a headset press now starts the next episode instead of just stopping the sounds. Any button works, even pause. With Roll-over protection on, you may need to press twice. • Audiobookshelf: finished books now sync both ways, including Mark as finished and Mark as unfinished. Bookmarks sync both ways too. Listening done offline, and books you remove from Continue, now reach your server. • Audiobookshelf: a new spot you pick while paused reaches your server right away, and if your server restarts while you listen, Lull keeps saving your spot. • Audiobookshelf: going back to an episode you finished no longer jumps to its end and on to the next one. • Pull to refresh now finishes. Before, it could stop early, and Audiobookshelf could say Offline when your server was fine. • Ask for a transcript while an episode is still downloading, and it now starts by itself when the download is done. • When your sleep sounds take over, Lull checks that they're really playing, and starts them again if they're silent. • Skip credits, Skip ads and Learned Ads now live in Settings > Playback & Audio, beside Skip Times. • Lull does less work while your phone is locked. • Many smaller fixes to sleep detection and syncing. Tap any line to jump there. • Search for a word in the chapter, or across a whole book once it's transcribed. • Transcribe a whole book, or let chapters transcribe themselves as they play (always, or only while charging). • Summarize any chapter or episode. • The Story So Far: catch up on your book to where you are, and not a word past it. • Skip the credits on audiobooks and podcasts. A Skip button appears when they start, or turn on Skip credits automatically. All of this is free, and nothing leaves your phone. Needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence, on iOS 26 or later. • A new app icon, with a matching one for each Lull theme. • Touch and hold a skip button to change how far it jumps, from 5 to 90 seconds. • A new Lock Screen card. Skip chapters, see what's left of the chapter and the book, and tap Save this spot. When your sleep sounds take over, the same card lets you pause them. • Roll-over protection now has its own switch. Once you've drifted off, a stray headset press won't bring your book back by accident. It's on by default, and you can turn it off in Settings. • Save your wind-down setups, like a quick nap and a full bedtime, and switch between them with a tap. New in Premium: • What you slept through: a morning recap of what played after you drifted off (needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence). • A better rewind when you fall asleep. It lands where you drifted off, even across a skipped ad or into the episode before. • Smart Nap has a Custom time. • Sleep detection now stands down while you drive, walk, or work out. • Lull now tells you when it can't reach your watch or read your heart rate. Also in this update: • Volume Leveling now brings loud ads down to the show's level, and no longer makes everything quieter. • Free books: search the start of a title or an author's last name. Lull now says when LibriVox finds nothing or doesn't answer. • Audiobookshelf: if your server has you further along, Lull offers to jump there. A book you resume after reopening Lull now saves your place to the server. Books opened from ABS Admin open even from another library. • Each podcast show remembers its own sleep sounds. • Podcasts show a Skip Ad button when Lull finds an ad break, and Settings can skip them for you (needs Apple Intelligence). • Imported books keep playing after an app update. • If your server or internet drops out partway through, Lull holds on and picks up again by itself, at the same spot. • A busy night no longer pushes other books out of Continue. • Audiobookshelf podcasts and imported books now show what's new. • Plex books now go back to where you drifted off, like every other source. • Sharing to an Instagram or Facebook story now fits the whole card. • Sleep & Track now logs your night even when a book is loaded, and it works with sleep detection switched off. • Stopping the sleep sounds no longer cancels a Smart Nap that's counting down. • A sleep timer keeps counting when the next episode, or your Up Next, starts on its own. • In the car at night, the Wi-Fi-only data saver no longer stops the next episode. • The Lull Night Mode Focus filter now switches Lull to its Midnight theme. • Clearer explanations across the app, and many smaller fixes to sleep detection, downloads, and iCloud sync. Land where you actually lost the thread. Sleep detection knows when your body settled, but your mind drifts a little before that. Auto rewind can now back up past that gap, so the book picks up where you were still following it. Choose your own padding in Settings, Sleep Detection. A minute is a good place to start. Make Lull yours: 12 themes. Pick your look in Settings, Display & Text. Warm wood and brass, a night sky with real stars, deep space, pine forest, candlelight, a podcast studio, a typewriter page, and Paper, the one light theme for daytime reading. Auto shows your chosen theme by day and switches to pure black through your night hours. Your app icon quietly matches. Sleep sounds, reworked from your feedback. Volume and Mix now sit at the top, where your thumb expects them. Every sound remembers its own level, so your quiet beach stays quiet and your louder lake stays loud. Sliders no longer jump the page around, and the recorded sounds fade in smoothly. A tidier Sleep screen. Sleep Detection now leads the page, the microphone settings have their own section, and the long explanations moved behind help links so the controls are easy to find. Find books faster. Your Audiobookshelf genres and tags are now chips right under the search bar, and you can combine them to narrow things down. Same for podcasts. Also: the goal ring turns green when you hit your sleep goal, and failed imports now tell you what went wrong instead of showing nothing.

Fixes, most of them from your reports. • Press play at night and it stays playing. A press now resets the sleep clock, so the app stops handing you back to sleep sounds seconds later. • Fixed a freeze where a book showed the pause button but never played. • Podcasts take one spot in Continue per show, not one per episode, so a binge no longer pushes your books off the shelf. Whatever is playing always shows there. • Episodes that rolled past while you were asleep get their unplayed dots back. • One press on your AirPods brings your book back. Headbands keep the two press protection, but a quick double tap now works. • Unfollowing a show sticks, even with a second device. • Sleep Insights shows your night, naps, and total at a glance. • Podcast chapter lists work offline.

Built for the plane. Your library now works with no signal at all. And a thank-you: most of Premium is now free. • Free for everyone, starting now: Sleep Insights, night recordings, adaptive night mixing, importing your own sleep sounds, and the wake-into-your-book alarm. (Insights shows your drift-offs and naps on any iPhone; an Apple Watch adds sleep stages and a readiness score.) Premium is now simply the Apple Watch experience: sleep detection, smart nap, the silent wrist wake-up, and listening on your watch. • Your Audiobookshelf library is there when you're offline. Books, podcasts and shows all browse normally with no connection, instead of vanishing until you found the Downloads page. • Downloaded books and episodes play straight from the library, right where you expect them. • Episodes roll on to the next one offline. No more silence at the end of an episode on a flight, and no more building a playlist to work around it. • Followed RSS shows get the same treatment: they browse and roll with no signal. • Downloads are manageable at last. Episodes group under their show, so forty episodes for a trip are one tidy row. Tap Select, tap a show to take the whole thing, and delete the lot at once. The button tells you exactly how much space you're getting back. • Optional heads-up when your Audiobookshelf server gets something new: a new episode, a show you just added, or a new book landing in your library. Off by default, never during your night hours, and it only checks when your server is actually reachable. • New content is found faster all round. Also in this update • Naps save to Apple Health only once they're certain. Clear daytime naps save a couple of hours after they end; anything borderline asks you first with a card instead of writing on its own. A one-time cleanup quietly removes any stray sleep entries earlier versions wrote. • A caught nap can't be lost anymore. Even if the app closes between your wake and the save, the nap is remembered and saved on the next open. • Nap lengths are exact now. The end of a nap is the moment your sounds stopped, never a guess from when you next pressed play. • Sleep your watch recorded but couldn't score no longer counts as time awake, so a broken night reads honestly. • Listening History is tappable. Tap any entry to jump back to that exact spot (paused, so nothing blares) or go straight to the show. • Tap the artwork on Now Playing to open the chapter or episode list, same as the title. • A quiet Notes pill under the title shows episode notes for a podcast or the synopsis for a book, when there are notes to show. • Milestones actually appear now. They used to unlock silently while you slept; now they wait and greet you on the morning card. Plus new milestone tiers up to two years of nights. • Settings reads cleaner: short descriptions, with the deep explanations one tap away under How Detection Works and About. The shows your server downloads now play in Lull, archived episodes included, streaming straight from your own box. Played marks and progress sync back to the server, so Lull, the ABS web app, and every other client finally agree. • One podcast home. New All / Followed / ABS chips on the Podcasts tab. Your server shows get the full show screen: sort, filters, unplayed dots, episode search, and a now-playing indicator on the episode that's rolling. • Episodes roll like chapters. An episode ending mid-show continues to the next, honoring each show's sort order. Lull can now build your night from its own evidence: when it caught you drifting off and when you picked your audio back up. • Insights, reorganized. Your morning at the top, your last 14 nights right below it, one clear wellness note instead of a disclaimer under every card. • Honest numbers for messy nights. A fragmented night now shows when you first fell asleep AND when sleep got solid, counts the wakes between, and reports real efficiency instead of an impossible 100%. • Sleep detection that can't lose a catch. And if you were only briefly awake, it knows the difference and won't rewind you too far. We also fixed a wake alarm that could go off at the wrong time. Listening History • A new Listening History (Settings → Listening History) shows everything you've listened to over time, across every book and podcast. Podcasts • Tap the title on the Now Playing screen to jump to any episode of the show. • Tag your shows (For Sleep, Sci-Fi, News, anything you like) and filter by tag. • See which episodes are downloaded at a glance, set a per-show download limit, and auto-download is now off by default so nothing piles up behind you.
