The Kenya Challenge is a virtual walking fundraiser by the Kenya Education Fund (KEF). Walk, run, or jog from anywhere, anytime in the world. Track your steps through the app, follow your progress on a real map of Kenya, and watch your fundraising grow. The more you move, the more you raise. Every step you take helps put a Kenyan student through secondary school. Walk alone, join or create a team, and let supporters back home pledge against your distance.
WHAT YOU CAN DO IN THE APP
• Track your daily walks automatically — connect your phone's step counter once, and your steps are recorded in the background. No "Start Walk" needed.
• See your progress on a live map of the route from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park.
• Watch milestones tick by — Limuru, Naivasha, Nakuru — each one celebrated when you reach it.
• See your team's combined distance and where you stand on the team leaderboard.
• Share your fundraising link with supporters in one tap — they pledge securely on kenyachallenge.org (we never handle money in the app).
WHY IT MATTERS
In Kenya, 60% of families can't afford secondary school fees. Your steps change that. The Kenya Challenge brings people together to raise vital funds for student scholarships, mentorship, and school resources. Our finish line? A world where every child has a chance to learn.
100% of the walk revenue goes to the Kenya Education Fund (kenyaeducationfund.org), a registered U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity.
