BUILT FOR PRIVACY
Groundwell runs entirely on your device. No account, no sign-up, no ads, and no third-party tracking. Your location is used only to look up public weather and map data—it never leaves your phone for storage, because we don't run servers. The App Store privacy label says it plainly: Data Not Collected.

I honestly want to thank the dev for taking the time to look into the bug that was happening. I’m honestly very impressed by how serious they took it and how quick the update for locations were changed! I definitely recommend this app as one to use for grounding and how human it is instead of ai doing it all. I do honestly love using the app and think it’s very thought out.

I can only imagine how frustrating it was to keep entering your location in Ohio and watch the map and weather snap back to Utah every time. That's not the experience you deserved.You found a real bug. When the app couldn't read your phone's location, it quietly fell back to a default in Utah instead of telling you. That has been fixed in version 1.0.8, available now:• The Utah fallback is gone. If your location is off or unavailable, Groundwell asks you to pick your city instead.• Searching "City, OH" reliably finds the right Ohio city.• We've added over 200 verified parks, trails, lakes, beaches and nature preserves across Ohio, from Lake Erie to the Hocking Hills.Thank you for pushing us to fix this. Location fixes and much better coverage across the U.S.
• Fixed a bug where Groundwell could fall back to Utah when it couldn't read your location. If location is off or unavailable, the app now asks you to pick your city instead.
• Searching "City, ST" (for example "Columbus, OH" or "Portland, ME") now finds the right city in the right state.
• Built-in lists of real parks, trails, lakes and beaches for all 50 states and Washington, D.C., including 270+ verified places across Ohio. They work even when you're offline.
• The location picker no longer hides behind the keyboard.
• Updated for the latest version of iOS.
