KEEP YOUR HOME ON SCHEDULE
Roost comes with a library of common home-care tasks — smoke and CO alarms, water filters, HVAC, gutters, seasonal jobs and more — each with a sensible default schedule. Add your own tasks, attach them to specific appliances, and check them off as you go. Roost does the recurring math, so the next due date just appears.
Guidance is grounded in trusted public standards, including NFPA 72 (smoke alarm replacement), the EPA's indoor air quality recommendations (filter changes), and the USDA FoodKeeper database (food shelf life). Every recommendation shows its source, so you know why it's there.
USE UP YOUR PANTRY
Add groceries by scanning a barcode or typing them in, set an expiry, and Roost nudges you three days before anything is about to go off. Tap "Use It Up" and Roost suggests recipes built from what you already have — generated privately, right on your device, with nothing sent to a server. On supported devices it uses on-device intelligence; on others it falls back to a built-in matcher, so the feature works for everyone.
KEEP THE PAPERWORK
Photograph your appliances, capture model numbers with the camera, and store PDF manuals and warranties. When something breaks at 9pm, the details are right there.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Roost is local-first. Your data lives on your device and syncs only through your own private iCloud account — never to our servers. There is no analytics, no account to create, no email to hand over. Our App Privacy label is simply "Data Not Collected," because we don't.
