Love this app, has so much potential! I would love to have options to select which meals you want generated for the week (breakfast, lunch, or dinner). Also, would be great if you could add an overall option to switch to generating bi-weekly or monthly meal plans! Some of us don’t want to plan and grocery shop every single week!
Developer Response
Thank you so much! We're happy to hear you're enjoying Potto. Your suggestions about selecting specific meal types and generating bi-weekly or monthly plans are great ideas. We'll definitely keep them in mind as we continue building new features.
Charging $10/week is psychotic

Edit: I just want to say THEY JACKED UP THE PRICE!!!!! All the reviews FROM THIS PAST SUNDAY SAID THE APP COST $7/WEEK AND NOW IT’s $10/Week. FOUL AND DISGUSTING. I wanted to use this app, but charging $10/week is psycho and wayyyyy too expensive. And the fact that that’s the only option is such an awful business model. Definitely a man who created this lol. I understand that they need to make money, but I (and I’m sure many many people) would lowk prefer ads with an free experience rather than charging $40/month which is not feasible for majority of people (sorry it’s not argue with the wall). This app is not accessible and it’s screwed up it’s kept behind a paywall. Want a good review? Create an app EVERYONE can use. Such a waste.

As great as the concept is, the app is deeply flawed and full of AI slop. The images of recipes are so obviously AI, none of the food in the images looks real or edible. On top of that, it’s $10 a week to continue using. If I’m trying to budget for meals, in what world would I want to pay $40 a month for poorly AI-generated recipes? Not to mention the bugs— I set a budget and the plan it generated was over the budget. It then told me to increase my budget to $100 for “more premium options”, and my budget was already $100.In theory, an app designed to work with your budget, consider dietary needs, and even be specific to your grocery store sounds wonderful. But this one is not the answer.
Has potential but still a lot of room to improve.

I like that the app asks for meal preferences, dietary restrictions, and budget. What I feel that could improve:• the budget only accounts for 1/4 cup of cream, you can’t buy 1/4 cup of cream and so on for things that are usually sold prepackaged. •It would be great if the meal plan for the week could reuse ingredients through out the meals to reduce waste and actually stay within budget. •It would be cool if it actually used and showed actual prices of the grocery list items from each store.•Should add a dietary preference of high protein meals. •would be great if each individual recipe could be rated by others to see if it’s any good, since these seem to be generated by AI that doesn’t have taste buds. So far I don’t think this apps price warrants the weekly price point of $9.99 since it’s not doing much except generating a bunch of recipes with not much logic that you can do elsewhere for free.
Updated app performance and fixed critical bugs.
Thank you for using Potto!
