HOW DOES IT WORK?

ReciMe includes both a free version and a subscription version with premium features.

The premium version allows you to:

1. Import unlimited recipes from websites and blogs, and

2. Upload unlimited private recipes to your private recipe collection.

You can start a 7-day free trial to access these premium features. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial, you will be automatically charged a price indicated on the payment screen for a chosen subscription period. The ReciMe Premium subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (each month or year) until you cancel. Canceling your subscription means the automatic renewal will be disabled. However, you will still have access to all your subscription features for the remaining time of your then-current period. Note that deleting the app does not cancel your subscriptions.

Lots of great features

I love this app, I ended up paying for the subscription by accident but the importing features are really nice so I’m still glad I have it. The free features should at least include the importing from paste I think. My only issue is that the app is still a little glitchy: sometimes you can tag a recipe with the cuisine type and then the tag won’t save; sometimes while editing a recipe I am locked out of editing text no matter where I tap so I have to close the recipe and open it again; sometimes the URL detection pops up and the orange button to paste is missing so I have to dismiss the window and try again- my workaround is to go through the “browse” option because the URL detection never fails there; it took multiple tries to update my phone number because the change didn’t reflect until after I closed the app and reopened.

Ultimately these things don’t make it a bad experience overall, and I think they’re things that can probably be fixed in the future. I’ve been using this app to cook more lately and it’s really nice and accessible to have my phone out while I’m cooking with a succinct recipe format instead of long blogs to sift through. I also like the cookbook organization, it’s such an improvement over sorting bookmarks in a mobile browser. It also allows me to merge the blog recipes with the ones I have saved on Instagram, and I love rating the recipes so I can mark which ones I’ve made so far and keep trying the new ones.

Time saver!

I got the free trial of this app but thought it was a bit pricey to buy it. I was sent a discount email and decided to pull the trigger. I am playing around with it this morning to meal plan for the week. This thing is going to be a huge time saver! I was using Google docs to plan and keep recipes but it was burdensome and disorganized. This app has a ton of features that will make my life easier. Even if I have to pay full price for it, I can see how it is worth it. At full price I would spend just over a dollar a week and it is easily going to save me an hour or two of time. It is soooo easy to import recipes. When I showed my husband he got excited because he has been bookmarking a lot of recipes. He is going to send me his links now so I can easily add them to Recime. The cookbooks you can customize are going to be really helpful and being able to edit and add items to my grocery list is a breeze. The only other feature that would be nice, and maybe they have it but I haven’t noticed yet, is the ability to add your grocery list automatically to an online grocery store such as Walmart. I like the feature where I can send my grocery list to my husband. That is really helpful too. I think this app is something that I will consistently use and can justify the price.

Best app on my phone

I’ve been using this for the last 3 weeks or so and it’s amazing. At first I balked a bit at paying a subscription price for it instead of up front purchase, but it’s 100% worth it. Super smooth at pulling recipes from the myriad websites and saved Instagram posts I have or have to search for over and over again to recall recipes. The stay open feature is great so I don’t have to keep unlocking my phone while cooking, and once it’s saved to recime you don’t have to deal with the 10,000 pop ups or ads that cover your screen on the original websites, or search for the “jump to recipe” button. One upgrade I’d love to see (and could be a bit of an ask) is nutrition information. I currently add recipes here, then download to Cronometer, which works well, but one app to rule them all would be killer. Either way, if you cook a lot, have stuff saved all over the place, can never remember what you ordered that random spice for, or struggle to meal plan even though you have a bunch of recipes that you looked at over the past few days, this app is worth every penny.

We're thrilled to hear that you're enjoying the app and finding it so useful! We appreciate your feedback on the nutrition information feature and will definitely take it into consideration for future updates. Thank you for your support and happy cooking!
