Launch offer: Premium now €1.99 (regular €3.99). Unlock UTCI + WBGT heat stress insights for sport and outdoor activities — offer ends August 19.
Our summers are changing. Heatwaves are becoming more frequent, longer, and hotter — hitting exactly the moments you want to be outside: a terrace, a bike ride, a training session. ComfortToday helps you choose those moments wisely, instead of concluding afterwards that it was simply too hot.
WHY THIS IS MORE THAN A WEATHER APP
At typical temperatures — most days of the year — a standard forecast feels good enough and you'll rarely run into trouble. The difference shows up precisely on the days that are becoming more common: the heatwave, the sweltering afternoon, the sun-soaked day of sport. That's exactly where "34°C, sunny" falls short as information — it says nothing about humidity, wind, solar load, or what that means for your body during exertion.
ComfortToday fills that gap with the scientifically recognized UTCI index (used by meteorologists and health authorities) and WBGT (the international standard for heat stress during exertion, ISO 7933) — the same measures professionals use to determine when outdoor activities are safe.
WHAT COMFORTTODAY DOES FOR YOU
• Comfort score (0-100) — see at a glance how the weather really feels, even on the days that deviate from the norm
• Hourly forecast with sparklines for the full day pattern — see exactly when a heat peak has passed
• Activity advice — terrace, walking, cycling, or running: what works, and what's better postponed until it cools down
• Sport advice with WBGT — separate from comfort at rest, since your body produces its own heat during exertion that can't escape as easily on a hot day
• Clothing advice tailored to the current UTCI and season
• Indoor climate tab — advice based on the ASHRAE standard for home or office, since indoor temperatures rise during a heatwave too
• 5-day outlook, so you can see a heatwave coming and plan your week around it
• Free choice of location — GPS, manual place name, or a fixed default location
SCIENTIFICALLY GROUNDED, NOT A BLACK BOX
The comfort score is based on UTCI (Höppe 1999; Bröde et al.), supplemented with WBGT (ACSM/ISO 7933) for exertion advice. The full underlying methodology is laid out in the Method tab in the app.

For anyone who doesn't just want to see the weather, but wants to understand what it means for your body — especially now that extremes are becoming more common.
