ROAM A LEVEL YOU HAVE FINISHED Beaten a place? It gets a ROAM button. Same world, no job and nothing to fail. Knock things over and leave when you like. NEW TROUBLE TO START Something new to knock over at Stumpy's Corner, the Pyramids, Venice and Kyoto. One thing tends to lead to another. THE JOB YOU ARE ON, ON THE FRONT DOOR Whatever you are up to is waiting on the home screen, with the ground it sits on and the name of the place. One tap and you are in it. By popular demand, the improved Warhol icon returns.

- The soi still has plenty of people with opinions, but they take turns now. You get the line that matters and one other voice, never a wall of them, and whoever you are flying always gets the floor. - Speech reads cleanly over neon, wet tarmac and a lit shopfront. Every line sits on a proper surface with its own shadow, so the city can be as loud as it likes behind it. - When you are not sure where to go, the game says so sooner and keeps saying it. The job is marked out in the world, and a ring closes on it when you have been looking a while. - All of that guidance follows whichever body you are in, so the cat gets the same help as the bird. - THE WINDOWSILL: drag back off the sill and let go. The line you pull shows the throw you are about to make and how hard, so Steven can be met properly over the roof, and he tells you exactly which way it went when he misses. - The arcade detours hold on to your score from the first toss to the last, whatever your phone does around them. - The cigarette is lit, it smokes, and it stays in the corner of the beak through a peck, a strut and a barge. The shades are two lenses with daylight between them. Whatever your bird is wearing goes where its head goes.

- Every identity now has a personality of its own. Tap a bird in IDENTITIES and it answers in character: the Street Menace is rude about it, the Snow Dove is appalled by the city, Verdigris speaks in centuries, and the Ghost barely speaks at all. - The bird at home talks like whoever you are wearing. What it says when you poke it, what it makes of the crumb you threw, and how it complains when you leave it standing there all change with your identity. - The ones you have not earned yet have opinions too, and they will tell you exactly what it takes. - The personality follows you into the levels. Between the scripted moments the bird mutters to itself, and it has something to say when a crumb goes down, when something spots you, when you get caught and when you clear the place. - The scoreboard talks back. Win or lose, whoever you are wearing gives their verdict on the run, and the Racer takes a bad result very differently from Stumpy. - Birds on the IDENTITIES grid now talk over each other. Tap one while another is mid sentence and you get an argument: the interrupter says its piece and the bird it cut off answers back. - The first time you ever wear a bird, it introduces itself. - The bird has opinions about what you dress it in. Put the cigarette on the Snow Dove, hand Stumpy the crutch, or drape the gold chain on the Square King and see what you get. - The quiet stretches of a level are less quiet. The bird mutters more often now, so a personality you went and earned actually gets heard.

- The Menace Reel grows. New bulletins are filed from the harbour, the bazaar, the monkey temple, the weekend market, a Paris cafe and the high Alps. One more is reserved for players who refuse to stay beaten. - More comedy inside the levels: the camera now cuts away for the little disasters, and the locals have far more to say about you. - The bird at home has new opinions, and the idle reels now rotate through your whole collection before anything repeats. - THE TAKE now spans every level. Something small and pocketable waits in each one, and the shelf finally answers about the gaps. - The links play truer: a longer, calmer pull on the drive, a flag that flies the wind, and turf that answers a landing. - The gear got bigger. The shades were always too big for a pigeon. Now they look it.

A smoother way to fly: tap once to take off, tap again to land, everywhere in the game. Every early level now tells you exactly what the job is and points the way, from the first tide to the space docks. The cliff climb gets a wider boardwalk and a fairer rival gull. And wherever you are, hold the MAP button for a fresh start on the spot. Also new: a moodier soundtrack across the cities, weather that rolls in when you revisit a level, fresh rooftop views at home, three new reels for the projector, and a proper Tour Card when you finish the golf grand tour.
