TransLearn by Alphatronex lets you speak or type in your language and hear the translation in another. Then it helps you learn to say it yourself.
Made for language learners, ESL classes, travel and face-to-face conversations.
How it works:
1. Pick your languages, or let the app detect the one you speak
2. Tap Record and speak naturally, or type your phrase
3. Review the text, then tap Translate
4. Hear the translation aloud, at normal speed or slowly
Practice what you translate:
• Say the translation back and get a score out of 100
• See which words were heard and which were missed
• Tap any word to hear just that word
• Star phrases to build a practice list and watch your progress
Languages:
English, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic (with full right-to-left support), Japanese, Korean, Wolof and Bambara.
Wolof and Bambara can be typed, translated and heard. Speaking them into the app and practicing them are not available yet.
The practice score is a guide, not a grade: speech recognition can smooth over small pronunciation slips.
Works on iPhone and iPad. No account required. No ads. Your practice list stays on your device.
