THE CRATE KEEPS ITS PROMISE Every expedition crate promises a rare-or-better catch. Out past the horizon it wasn't always keeping that promise: when the tide, the weather, or the moon had the finer fish asleep, the crate quietly settled for whatever was awake — often a common. Now it always holds the best fish the sky allows. Your Trench crates should feel like Trench crates again. HONEST SUMS Crate hauls, the crew's "per minute" quotes, and the coins in a drifting bottle are all worked out from what a cast is actually worth at that water. On the far isles the sums assumed every fish was always awake and equally eager, which paid crates about double a real cast and told you Barnaby earned nearly three times what canal fish can pay. The numbers now match the water. Isle crates come home lighter; the shop stops overpromising. Fish in your bag are now worth what they were worth when you landed them. A Golden Rush doubles what you catch during it — not a whole afternoon you'd been holding back for the moment. GENTLER BOTTLES The tide's morning bottle sometimes asked for a fish only a legendary could be — the lagoon's "something over 100kg" was a request for the Hourglass, at night, for two pearls. Heavy asks now point at the biggest ordinary fish a water offers. A bottle is an errand, not an expedition. SMALLER THINGS Reset All Progress now says everything it takes with it — shells and Bottled Tailwinds included — and it takes it on every device signed into your iCloud, instead of an old save drifting back through the cloud. Very long nights away (deep Deep Dreams, every lantern lit) were being cut short by a safety limit. It's been raised well out of reach, so the last hours you paid for are paid out. The Bait Quality row now quotes the milestone bonus it actually gives (×1.25, not ×1.5). The bottle toast no longer owes you "0 pearls" on tailwind days, the Abyss rival snaps your hull rather than your line, and the pearl screen explains how the holding bonus gentles past 200.

THE STORM GLASS Storm Reef's sky always knew its own schedule — now it tells you. The location card posts when the next fog is due, and every rain and fog fish in the fishpedia says whether it's biting right now or when it next will be. The Foglord becomes an appointment, not a stakeout. FAIRER GOLD MEDALS Gold trophies on expedition fish asked for more crates than any boat could fairly bring home — and asked the most of the commonest catch. Every expedition exclusive now earns its gold at 25. If you've been sending the boat out all along, check your shelf: some medals may have turned gold on their own. SMALLER THINGS While you're away, the reef's weather now passes overhead exactly as it really did — the 3am fog counts, and whichever sky greets you at the door no longer stands in for the whole night.

1.2.3 — The Elder Update Your save now follows you. iCloud quietly keeps your voyage safe across your devices — nothing to set up, and it always keeps whichever save is further along. For the elder fishers: New gear at the Drowned Market and Mooncradle Cove — ten items, ending in The Tide's Heart. Your trillions have work to do again. Gold trophies are now fair: rare and moonbound fish have targets that respect their windows. If you're past a new target, the medal is already yours on launch. The Quiet Horizon — a final page in the Journal for those who finish everything. You'll know it when you earn it.
