Your star ratings can now travel with your photos. - Save ratings into the files themselves as system tags, visible in Finder and in the Files app, so you can pick the good frames when importing into another editor. - Write a whole folder at once, or let LAI keep files up to date as you rate. - Off by default. Nothing is written to your files until you turn it on, and turning it off never deletes what was already written. - Only LAI's own tags are ever touched. Your own tags stay exactly as they are, and the photo itself is never modified. One-time setup: to filter by these tags in Finder or the Files app, create the five tag names once. Settings > Ratings in files > Tag setup lists them with a copy button for each. Apple provides no way for an app to add tag names on your behalf.

Fujifilm RAF, Pentax PEF, Hasselblad, Phase One and more now import. - A unified sidebar with Folders and Filters in one place, at a steady width that no longer shifts your photos. - On Mac: right-click a photo for the actions you expect. On every platform: a richer folder menu with open, reveal, reconnect and unpin. Better - Much faster on large shoots. Browsing, rating and opening folders no longer stall while the library is read. - Folder access is now per device by design, and one parent-folder pick can restore access to many folders at once. - Your culling work is protected by a verified backup that restores automatically if the library ever fails to open. - Duplicate collections created by sync can be merged, with a preview of exactly what will be joined. - Network and external drives report clearly when they are unavailable, instead of failing quietly. - Accessibility throughout: larger hit targets, VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion support. - Review now moves through exactly the photos your filters show, not the whole folder.
