I've been using "24fps" app for a long time, as it has the ablity to zoom automatically and manually with a side switch, volume button, and has a true cinematic video stablization. And it has a built-in editor with the ablity to export raw video to camera roll. And all of that was free.Unfortunately, the whole app itself had turned a downfall thanks to a new update that took away the core features to it's name and is now nothing but a bland filter app. Now I been trying to find so many apps that have come as close to what 24fps had which unfortunately nothing could compare with 24fps, and I have come across this app which FINALLY.....FINALLY a perfect app that matches the features i wanted what 24fps app used to have. The ablity to use the zoom slider on the side (as virtual buttons or a slider), a cinematic video stablization (I didn't try out the extended version but I want to soon), and more importantly, it exports raw video to camera roll and it has portrait mode too! No other video apps that have the features has portrait mode, until this app finally does! Thank you! Thank you!

I have experimented with a number of iOS video recording/remote control app packages. Marketing promises notwithstanding, the only one that I have found to be reliable under "field" conditions has been the MoviePro/MoviePro Remote set of apps.As has been true with each software PAC kàge that I attempted to use, there were start up problems that needed tech support help. In MoviePro's case, it wasthe transfer of the recorded footage from my iOS device to my Mac.Unique to MoviePro was the rapidity and effectiveness of their response. Friendly app for a musician, great support

I find this app easy to use. As a nonprofessional I am probably not using all its video capabilities yet, BUT am a musician and picky about audio. To record music one needs to set recording levels, which is not possible in the Iphone camera app. MoviePro does allow this capability IF you connect an external mic compatible with setting levels (not with the built-in iphone mics, starting with iphone 6 and on). Thank you! I was having trouble and emailed MoviePro support. They replied personally the same evening with the helpful info about mic levels. Personal support is so appreciated!Regarding mics: There are small lightning-connector external mics available; but you can also use a usb mic, or a regular xlr mic connected via digital audio interface to usb, and then the special iphone ‘camera adapter’ (usb to lightning connector). This works with MoviePro and then you can use the mic of your choice and set levels.
Hours of recording lost

I really like movie Pro and really wanted to give it five stars but I have been using this now going on a year and and must admit that I have lost hours of footage because of a glitch in the app. While you are recording if your storage on your phone maxes out the app abruptly terminates without saving your recording or without giving you any kind of warning. So in effect you can be 30 minutes into a video and suddenly the app will terminate and all of your footage is lost. This has happened to me at least a half dozen times and even when I check my storage before recording if I have recorded previous videos in MoviePro and then start another one I have no idea how much space those videos took up and therefore it can still terminate abruptly. I cannot tell you how frustrating and upsetting this is to lose that much recording time over and over again. I really hope the developers come up with and auto save feature so that the app will either automatically save what you have recorded when it terminates or else it will automatically save at intervals during your recording otherwise I would tell anyone who records anything that they cannot simply do over not to use this app. In my case I have only lost mostly instructional videos but I cannot imagine if somebody was recording a vacation or the birth of a child or a birthday or some other event only to have 30 minutes of it disappear. Having said that I will say I do use the pause function a lot in my videos but that is the specific reason I downloaded MoviePro instead of using the native iPhone camera. To be clear the message I get is Error Operation terminated and No the recording is not in the app library. If I am doing something wrong or do not have a feature enabled I will gladly change my review.
Developer Response
Please update to version 7.1.2 or later and feel free to experiment for as many hours or days to get a proof that your issue is resolved. We have fixed the issue where videos were missing when iPhone ran out of storage space while recording causing termination of recording by the system. Now, you WILL find video stored in App Library in case of termination signals by system due to disk space running out or any other system events however rare. Apart from this, as already mentioned before the app is designed to auto save the video in events such as crash with the precision of 1 second. For any issues, contact us at support@moviepro.app

entirely from your reports since the 10.0 launch. Thank you for sending

WHERE TO FIND TWO CONTROLS YOU'VE ASKED ABOUT
• Front camera — tap the lens chip at the top right of the viewfinder,
in either Auto or Pro, and choose Front. The chip reads FR while the
front camera is live. Lenses can't be swapped mid-take.
• Stabilization — in Pro, tap the More button at the top right, then
Stabilize: Off, Standard, Cinematic or Extreme. In Auto, MoviePro
manages stabilization for you and shows the mode it chose in the
pre-flight checklist.
FIXED — IMAGE
• Recorded video looked washed out, dull and desaturated next to the
preview. The recording path now states its colour correctly, so what
you see is what lands in the file.
• Stabilization silently switched off after changing lens or flipping to
the front camera, and stayed off until the next settings change.
• Cold-boot recordings could drop to 8-bit despite a 10-bit setting.
FIXED — CRASHES AND FAILED TAKES
• Crash when starting a 4K60 ProRes take on internal storage. ProRes 4K60
now records internally.
• Crash when switching between HDR and SDR with the camera running.
• Crashes when setting focus point, exposure compensation or zoom.
• Crash when switching modes while a session was tearing down.
• DualCam could refuse to start a recording entirely.
• A freeze when tapping Record.
FIXED — FRONT CAMERA AND ORIENTATION
• iPhone 17 Pro: front-camera files recorded upside-down.
• The Mirror Front Cam setting behaved backwards.
• Preview flipped the wrong way when rotating the phone.
• Launching with the front camera saved now starts on the front camera.
FIXED — DUALCAM
• Audio dropped out when switching cameras mid-take.
• The front camera was stretched in composited takes.
• A black first frame at the start of a recording.
• Your PIP position and live camera are restored between sessions.
• Larger, more reliable touch targets throughout.
FIXED — LONG RECORD
• The preview froze after a 4K take or a mode switch.
• Long Record now honours your H.264 and ProRes codec choice instead of
always recording HEVC.
• Remote preview holds a steady frame rate while recording 4K.
FIXED — ELSEWHERE
• "Frames Dropping" warnings counted preview frames as lost footage —
they now report only what actually left your recording.
• The Take Receipt could mislabel the frame rate of a clip.
• Storage warnings no longer claim a block that isn't there.
• Status pills could creep under the Dynamic Island in portrait.
• Importing a photo could fail without telling you.
