Your record now earns pins: five on the way to a 66-day habit, five for the long chapters, five firsts and two secrets. The drawer at the foot of the home screen, in Wink's teal, shows the next one and opens your album. Pins are only ever added. Removing a day or resetting your count keeps them, and they're backed up. The Wink, earned icon now waits for day 66, when you earn the medal. If you already use it, it stays yours. After each log the seal stamps onto the band and Wink peeks in with a line. Tap Wink to send it off early. A phone with no practiced days can no longer replace your iCloud backup. If this phone holds far fewer mornings than your backup, or a much smaller starting count, backups pause until you confirm in Settings. The backup file and the Look back export always carry your latest edits. VoiceOver names each hydration color. After you log, the line under the monument reads in one piece again. On the record card, Log sits in from the edges, and "About the practice" and "The rest of your day" are larger. Before your first pattern, Patterns says how many more mornings to rate.

Wink is the new app icon. Cream is still in Settings under App icon, with Dark and Wink, earned. If backing up would leave your iCloud backup with less than half its days, the backup pauses instead. The home screen says so (with the days in your backup and on this phone) and your backup stays safe. You can still replace it yourself though. After two or more days away, the home screen says "Welcome back." Because the machine misses you. Patterns now names the days you marked unwell, and one day reads as one day.

Open the app after a day away and one line asks about yesterday: practiced, or not this time. After a morning without practice you can still record how it felt, so Patterns has both kinds of morning to compare. Hold the app icon on the Home Screen to record your practice or back up now. If your journal has no backup, that menu says so before you delete the app. The words you track alongside the practice now swap: the word going out is named, and you choose what replaces it. Larger text sizes and smaller phones lay out cleanly on every screen. Everything new is in Hindi too.

A Language card in Settings opens the iOS page where you choose Amaroli's language. Two labels on the record card now speak Hindi.

Amaroli speaks Hindi. Not the controls with English behind them. Every word: the record card, Look back, the patterns, Settings, the backup and restore messages, the reminder, the widget, and The Path in full. The practice's organized community is largely Indian, and there was no version of this worth shipping that translated the buttons and left the reading in another language. If you read English, nothing has changed. Every screen was rendered before and after and compared, and the English is identical to the pixel.

Logging a day was meant to be one tap, and it wasn't. The Log button sat below eight fields and a full-height monument, roughly two screens down, so you had to go looking for it. Now the three things you fill in most are at the top and the button is right under them. Everything else about the practice sits behind a line you can open, and stays open once you do. Open it and the card grows underneath the button, so a day described in thirteen fields keeps Log exactly where a day described in three does. There is a second Log at the foot of the card too, for when you have gone down there to write a note. Amaroli also follows the text size you set on your phone now. Every font used to be fixed, which was a poor showing from an app that asks you to read.

Amaroli has always tried to notice patterns in your days. Now there are more things you can record, if you want to: how you slept, whether you were unwell, how long it had been since you ate, whether what you drank was aged, whether you used it on your skin. All optional. And my favorite new feature: if you keep writing the same word in your notes, the app offers to make it a question of its own. E.g. write "sauna" on five different mornings and it asks whether you want sauna as a permanent field. Say yes and it gets tracked like anything I put there myself. You can keep four of your own at a time. Your notes still never leave your phone.

Until now there was no way to contact me from inside the app. There is now. After 30 logged days, Amaroli asks once how the practice is going, and gives you two options: email me, or leave a review. It asks again at 200 days if you ignore it, then stops asking. Settings also has both links permanently at the bottom. The daily reminder is now offered on your first logged day. Most people never found it in Settings. It is still off by default.

Settings could say your practice was already in iCloud when it was not there yet. It now tells you plainly where the copy is. Small wording fixes throughout the app.

You can now keep a copy of your practice in your own iCloud. Turn it on in Settings, under Your data. If you set up a new phone, Amaroli offers to bring your days back. No account, no sign-in. The copy sits in your iCloud, not ours.
