Astro Seeing
Stargazing weather & seeing
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Astro Seeing tells you when it's worth looking up.
We aggregate weather forecasts from six leading sources — Open-Meteo, OpenWeatherMap, WeatherAPI, Tomorrow.io, AccuWeather, and Meteosource — plus atmospheric seeing data from 7Timer, and turn it all into one clear answer: how good are tonight's stargazing conditions?
Tonight's verdict — plain-English recommendations from "excellent" to "poor"
Multi-source consensus — see where forecasters agree, and where they disagree
Seeing & transparency — real atmospheric stability data, not just cloud cover
Field of View calculator — frame any target through your telescope and eyepiece or camera, with a live sky atlas and sampling advice
Moon phase — tonight's phase, illumination, rise and set times
ISS passes — know when to spot the International Space Station overhead
Light pollution — Bortle scale estimate for your exact location
Best viewing window — when the sky will be clearest tonight
7-day outlook — plan ahead with nighttime-specific weather averages
Observing targets — deep-sky objects, planets, conjunctions and meteor showers visible from your area
Hourly timeline — cloud cover, humidity, dew point and seeing, hour by hour
Cloud cover chart — visual side-by-side comparison across every source

Made for backyard astronomers, astrophotographers, and anyone who's tired of generic weather apps that don't understand stargazing.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Deep-sky suggestions no longer reshuffle: the same place and night always show the same targets, best-placed first, with Show more for the rest. Each night now has one overall score that always matches its label, so no more "Excellent 3.9" beside "Good 4.3". "Seeing" only ever means the 7Timer forecast; the hourly number is labelled as a conditions score. Android: fixes a crash during background refresh.
