Cruise Ship Time and Countdown
Ship Clock, Alarms & Packing
Free · In‑App Purchases
Sail day approaching? Set your countdown, lock in ship time, and let ShipTime ring your all-aboard alarm — even with zero signal in port.
Your phone changes time zones in port. Your ship doesn't.
That mismatch is why passengers get left behind on the pier every week. ShipTime Companion keeps Ship Time and local port time side by side — and rings your all-aboard alarm even with no signal, no roaming and no ship Wi-Fi.
Built to work 100% offline, because that's exactly when you need it.
WHAT IS SHIP TIME?
Cruise ships run on "ship time" — usually the departure port's time zone — and it does not change when you dock somewhere else. Your phone, meanwhile, quietly picks up the local cell tower and jumps. Miscalculate the gap and the gangway closes without you.
ShipTime locks your ship's clock to your embarkation port and shows both times together, so there's nothing to work out in your head.
WILL THE ALARMS WORK WITH NO SIGNAL?
Yes. Every alarm is scheduled on your device. Set the all-aboard time from your daily program and ShipTime alerts you 60, 30 and 15 minutes out — mid-Atlantic, deep in a duty-free maze, or on a beach in Cozumel. No connection required, ever.
HOW MUCH CAN I BRING BACK DUTY-FREE?
Most US travelers get an $800 exemption per person — $1,600 on US Virgin Islands itineraries — and families can combine them, children included. Log each purchase in whatever currency you paid, watch your allowance fill up in real time, and reach customs with no surprises.
HOW DO I CONVERT PRICES WITHOUT DATA?
ShipTime caches exchange rates before you sail. Tap your port, punch in the price, get dollars instantly — offline. Pesos, guilders, East Caribbean dollars, euros and more.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR A CRUISE?
Cruise-tested checklists that know what ship security actually confiscates. Magnetic cabin hooks (the walls are steel), non-surge power strips, reef-safe sunscreen, lanyards, sea-sickness bands — plus reminders for online check-in and luggage tags.
