My Blunders
Train on your own chess games
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Every lost game hides a lesson. My Blunders finds the mistakes in your Lichess and Chess.com games and turns them into puzzles, so next time you know the move.
Most chess apps give you someone else's puzzles. My Blunders builds them from your own games, so you practise the positions where you actually went wrong.
Enter your Lichess or Chess.com username. The app downloads your recent games, checks every move with Stockfish right on your device, and turns your mistakes into puzzles. The first ones appear while the rest of your games are still being checked, and new ones keep arriving in the background as you solve.
You don't need an account or a password. If you'd like to start before importing anything, there's a built-in library of famous blunders from chess history.
FOUR WAYS TO TRAIN
- Puzzles: Find the move you missed in your own games. If you're stuck, Hint shows which piece to move without giving the answer away. Once it's solved, replay your game move or the engine's best line on a separate board, or play the position out against the engine.
- Opening: Your games mapped into an opening tree. See where you leave the book, spot your weak lines and drill the worst of them. You can also save your repertoire as an A1 poster, a tree of boards with the engine evaluation and your wins, draws and losses under each one.
- Coordinates: Learn the board by heart. Name squares against the clock, tell light squares from dark ones at a glance, and step through famous games move by move.
- Play: A full game against an engine set to your rating. Each move is judged as you play, and the best move appears on a mini board where you can try it. Turn on the clock and the engine paces itself like a person, quick in the opening and slower when the position gets sharp.
Choose a board in Green, Wood or Walnut, with a separate one for light and dark mode.
PRIVACY
- No account, no ads, no tracking.
- The app reads only your public games. They go straight from Lichess or Chess.com to your device. There is no My Blunders server.
- All analysis runs on the device and works offline once your games are downloaded.
My Blunders is free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Opening poster The Opening tab can now lay out your repertoire as a single A1 poster. Each of your most-played lines gets its own column of boards, and rarer openings are condensed to a few. Under each board you'll find the move, the engine evaluation and your wins, draws and losses from that position. Choose portrait or landscape and save it as a PDF from the share sheet.
Faster puzzles Analysis is roughly four times faster. The first puzzles appear a few seconds after your games download, and more are found in the background while you solve. The app keeps about a hundred unsolved puzzles ready. The status line shows which game is being analysed and how many puzzles have been found so far. After Clear all, a single button starts the import again.
Replaying a puzzle When you finish a puzzle, two buttons now open a separate board: one replays the move you made in the game, the other the engine's best line. The Next puzzle button has moved to the bottom of the panel.
