On Cue Teleprompter
Teleprompter that follows you
$0.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
On Cue is a teleprompter that follows your voice.
Speak, and the script scrolls with you. Stop, and it waits. Paraphrase a line, skip a word, or start a sentence again — it keeps your place, because it listens to what you actually say rather than scrolling at a fixed speed you have to chase.
The front camera records while you read, with the script over the picture, so your eyes stay near the lens instead of tracking down the screen.
FOLLOWS YOUR VOICE
Speech recognition matches what you say against your script and keeps the line you are on at the reading line. Pause as long as you like. Say "scroll up" or "scroll down" to step a line without touching your phone.
RECORDS AS YOU READ
Tap Record and On Cue starts listening and filming together, in one tap. Front-camera capture with the script overlaid, saved straight to your Photos library. Choose HD or 4K and the frame rate your iPhone supports.
BUILT TO BE READ FROM
Left, center, right, or justified text alignment, adjustable text size, a reading line you can drag to sit near the lens, and per-word contrast so the script survives over a bright background. The controls fade once you start, and come back with a tap.
SCROLL BY HAND WHEN YOU NEED TO
Drag through the script yourself to skip ahead — release, and voice tracking picks up right from where you dragged to, so pausing to set up a later scene is one motion, not a fight to get back on track.
KNOWS HOW LONG IT RUNS
Word count and estimated run time as you write, then elapsed time, time remaining and your pace while you speak — measured from how fast you actually talk, not assumed.
WRITE OR OPEN A SCRIPT
Type directly in a full-screen editor, or open a file from Files or iCloud Drive (.txt, .md, .rtf) — edits save back to it automatically. Line breaks and blank lines carry over, so deliberate gaps stay as ad-lib room.
REMEMBERS YOUR SETTINGS
Text size, alignment, margins, pace and the rest of your preferences carry over to your next session.
NO SUBSCRIPTION, NO ACCOUNT
Buy it once. Speech recognition prefers Apple's on-device recogniser; if your iPhone has not downloaded the offline speech model, iOS falls back to Apple's speech service to transcribe. Your script and your recordings never leave the device.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Mirror mode is fixed and confirmed on a real teleprompter rig — the script fills the screen edge to edge, the reading line stays locked to the word you're on, and the text reads correctly through the glass.
On Cue now runs on iPad, including iPad Pro.
Portrait mode's status row and take controls now live on one edge at the bottom, instead of split top and bottom.
The sample script has been rewritten to explain the app as you read it, and the app supports all four device orientations.
