WristCoach: Workout Builder
Any workout, on your wrist
Free · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Turn a workout video, a written plan or a photo of a whiteboard into a guided session on your Apple Watch or iPhone — every interval, set and rest, timed.
Your workout, now on your wrist.
WristCoach turns any workout video, handwritten plan or screenshot into a
guided session on your Apple Watch. It identifies the exercises, intervals,
sets, and rest periods, then organizes everything into a workout you can
follow without your phone.
See what's next, get notified when it's time to switch, and see your heart
rate on the watch as you go. Your phone can stay in your bag — you've got
everything you need right on your wrist.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Share or paste a workout video link (YouTube, TikTok), type a workout
("4 rounds: 40s box jumps, 20s rest"), or photograph a written plan.
2. Review the parsed workout — every step editable: names, durations, sets,
rest periods, warmup.
3. Start it on your Apple Watch, or on your iPhone when you're not wearing
the watch. Prefer Apple's Workout app? Export any workout to it with one
tap.
BUILT FOR REAL TRAINING
• Understands workout language: circuits, EMOM, Tabata, supersets, rounds,
work/rest intervals
• Reads the on-screen drill names in training videos — your watch shows
"Icky Shuffle," not "Interval 3"
• Sport-aware: soccer drills, running intervals, strength sessions, and more
• Heart-rate zone targets on every step, with a buzz when you drift out
• Schedule workouts ahead — once, weekly, every 2 weeks, or monthly — with a
reminder before it's time
• History keeps every finished workout, with heart rate, calories and time
in zone
• Your library syncs across devices
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your heart rate stays on your devices. WristCoach reads it during a workout
to show your zone and saves the finished workout to Apple Health; it is never
uploaded to us or shared with anyone. Your plan syncs through your own
private iCloud database, which we cannot read. No ads, no trackers, no
analytics. Delete your account and all of its data anytime, right in the app.
Requires iOS 18 or later. The Apple Watch app requires watchOS 10 or later
and is optional — WristCoach runs the same workout on iPhone alone.
WristCoach provides workout structure, not medical advice — consult a
physician before beginning any exercise program.
Ratings & Reviews
Fixes for workouts that run on Apple Watch with the iPhone nearby.
• iPhone cue sounds now play through the whole workout when it runs on the
watch, including the opening countdown, and stop cleanly when it ends
• Starting from iPhone with a watch on: both devices count in together
instead of the phone joining after the watch has already started
• The rest cue is now a quick double beep, so it no longer sounds like the
start of a movement, and very short transitions no longer stack cues
• A "Play cue sounds" switch in Settings turns the phone's cues off when
the watch is the only sound you want
• Editing a workout: remove one rest without touching the others
• Generated workouts no longer include rests the source never had
• The weekly planning reminder is on by default, and only sent when the
coming week has no plan yet
