Keptcase: Collection Tracker
Movies, music, books & games
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Free for 7 days, then $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, one price for every shelf. If you ever stop, your collection stays on your phone to browse and export.
Keptcase is for people who still buy the disc, the record, the hardback and the cartridge and want it all catalogued properly, valued honestly, and beautiful to scroll.
Point your camera at a barcode and the item lands on your shelf with its cover, year, cast and studio filled in. Batch mode keeps the scanner open for a whole haul.
FOUR SHELVES, ONE APP
Movies and TV, music, books and comics, and games each get their own shelf with the details that matter to it — directors and studios, artists and labels, authors and publishers, platforms and regions. One subscription covers them all.
KNOW WHAT IT'S WORTH
Live market values on every shelf, with no setup. See what you paid, what it's worth now, and the gain — then export a dated PDF inventory for insurance.
EVERY EDITION, COUNTED SEPARATELY
Own a film on VHS, DVD and 4K? Keptcase folds them into one card while keeping each copy's own condition, value and history. Box sets hold their contents. Filter by boutique label or studio.
THE WHOLE RUN, AND THE GAPS
Series cards lay out a run in order — the numbers you own, the ones on your wishlist, and the gaps named, each with a Wishlist button. A show's page counts its seasons and how far you've watched each.
IN THE SHOP, WONDERING IF YOU OWN IT?
Scan any barcode — or type the title — and your shelf answers on the spot: on your shelf, owned but not this release, or not on your shelf, with what it goes for online.
COMICS, ON THEIR OWN RACK
Tap the Books title and switch to Comics: single issues, trades, omnibuses and graded slabs, with publisher and writer, counted and valued apart from your books.
GO DEEPER ON EVERY TITLE
• Trailers, full cast and More Like This for films
• Season and episode breakdowns for TV
• Platform details for games
• Tracklists for albums
• Blurbs and author details for books
• Search by actor — "Nicolas Cage" finds every film he's in
NEVER BUY A DUPLICATE AGAIN
Keep a wishlist, then publish a read-only web page of your shelf and send the link before a birthday. Gift givers see what you're hunting for; link your Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, and follow other collectors' shelves.
A DIARY FOR WHAT YOU ACTUALLY WATCH
Log every watch, listen, read and play with a rating and a note. Get a monthly recap, a shareable year-in-review card, and stats by decade, genre, format and creator. Collector badges mark the milestones.
CAN'T DECIDE? ASK THE SHELF
Tonight's Pick draws from what you own, filtered by mood and genre. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, ask your shelf in plain language — "a horror film I haven't watched" — and it answers from your own collection, entirely on device.
THE DETAILS COLLECTORS ACTUALLY TRACK
Condition and completeness, purchase price and date, who you loaned it to, ratings and notes, cover photos you shoot yourself, and every format from 4K and steelbook to vinyl, cassette, hardback and cartridge.
BRING YOUR COLLECTION WITH YOU
Import a CSV from whatever you use now, and sync ratings and watch dates from a Letterboxd export. Re-importing is safe — items update, never duplicate. Optional cloud backup restores your shelf onto a new phone.
YOUR DATA IS YOURS
Your collection lives on your iPhone. Cloud backup is optional and off until you turn it on; signing in uses Sign in with Apple. No tracking, no ads, nothing sold, ever.
TRY IT FREE FOR 7 DAYS
Then $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year — one price for every shelf. If your subscription ends your collection stays on your phone and you can still browse and export it — adding, scanning, values, backup and the rest need an active subscription.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings.

ONE SHELF FOR THE HOUSEHOLD
Two collectors under one roof, each on their own Apple ID, keeping the same shelf. Start a household in Settings and give the other person its code; whatever either of you adds, edits or removes is on both phones, and each title says who added it. Watches, ratings and the diary stay your own. One Keptcase Pro covers one other member of your household, so the person joining does not subscribe.
YOUR DEVICES STAY IN STEP
Add a disc, rate it, log a watch, write a note or delete a title on one device, and it is on the other the next time you open Keptcase. A change made on both while apart keeps the newer one. Sync Now in Cloud Backup does both directions in one press. Your dated notes and a replaced cover photo travel too.
VALUES THAT KEEP UP
A value used to be looked up once, when you added the title. Now, once it is a month old, the overnight pass asks the market again, a few dozen a night, the oldest first. A value you typed yourself is never touched. The value field offers the currency most of your values are in, whatever country your phone is set to, with a menu to pick another for one title; the total stays in that currency and names the titles priced in another.
SCANNING
A boutique label's disc scans as that release, catalogue number and all, and a double feature or a numbered set scans as the set. Keptcase's own catalogue is checked first: the boutique labels' releases and TheDiscDb's open list of discs. A Waxwork record scanned from Add Movie files under Music with the pressing named. A title with punctuation (Cathy's Curse, Super Mario Bros.) finds its label's release from the search and the edition picker.
THE SALE CALENDAR
In sections per shelf, this year only, wearing the labels' own marks on Arrow, Severin, Vinegar Syndrome, Waxwork and six more.
ON EVERY SHELF
Mark it watched in one tap: on a film, an album or a game, the ••• menu has Mark as Watched, Listened or Played. A soundtrack sits on its film's Also on your other shelves page. The Add list says "You own this film" for a title you hold on another release; "Owned" still means that exact release. A game's screenshot opens full screen. Recently Added sits right under its heading on iPhone and iPad.
IMPORTS
A Blu-ray.com CSV imports on every version of its export.
FIXES
A crash when deleting a title you had just opened. Stale values and prices after a day away. The iPad's sale calendar scrolling.
