Ratings now belong to a place, not a brand. A coffee shop with four branches is four different rooms, and each is scored on its own. A branch nobody has rated says so, rather than borrowing the reputation of its siblings. Near Me now starts at half a mile — about a ten-minute walk — with a quarter mile for dense neighbourhoods. When nothing's open nearby, the app offers to look a little further rather than showing you an empty list. Suggesting a shop is easier: street addresses complete as you type, so a café too new for the map no longer means typing everything by hand. And if a suggestion isn't added, you'll now hear why. Two fixes worth naming. Branches in the same neighborhood are told apart by their street instead of all reading alike. And the map keeps where you were when you come back from looking at a shop.
