Fixed an issue where some on-sale alerts could be missed, and an issue where Pro could briefly switch off around a subscription renewal.

Pro now does more: your full ledger, the year in review, Apple Music prep playlists, medium and Lock Screen widgets, and a new alert when a piece you have heard is on again at a hall you know or with an ensemble you have heard. If you were already using the app, everything you could use for free stays free for you. Also new: alerts when an ensemble you follow announces new concerts, many more concerts in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and the app checks in the background so alerts reach you without opening it. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription; Lifetime keeps working. A note from the developer and a way to send feedback are in Settings.

New: make a prep playlist in Apple Music from a concert's pieces. Open a concert and tap “Make a prep playlist in Apple Music” under the programme; symphonies come in with all their movements from one recording. Needs an Apple Music subscription; the ▶ search links on each piece still work without one.

Behind-the-scenes improvements. Nothing about how the app works or your records has changed.

Bug fixes. Restore Purchases in Settings now shows its result. The monthly summary no longer includes on-sale dates that have already passed. "Today" updates correctly when the app stays open past midnight, and the widget moves on to your next concert once one has passed. Pro notifications start right after purchase.

Fixed the language shown on the App Store listing. The concert catalogue now includes the LA Phil, Cleveland Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, Vancouver Symphony and Sydney Symphony (concerts and programmes; no on-sale dates yet). Ensembles without on-sale dates are marked as such in the follow list.

ClassicalLog Pro pricing has been revised (yearly and lifetime). The monthly plan is no longer offered to new subscribers; existing monthly subscribers are unaffected. To help improve the app, ClassicalLog now sends anonymous usage only — which screens you opened. It never includes the concerts or works you record, your name, or your email address. You can turn it off any time under Settings › Privacy.

■ Widget: “Next concert” (free) See how many days are left until your next concert, on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen — with the ensemble, date, hall, and whether you already hold a ticket. The medium widget also shows how many concerts you have been to this year. To add it: press and hold the Home Screen → “+” → ClassicalLog.

■ Year in review (free) Added at the bottom of the ledger. The concerts, works, composers and halls of a year, the pieces you heard for the first time, and the cycles you moved on — on one page you can save as an image. You can pick the year, so past years are there too. ■ The alert on the day an on-sale date is set now actually arrives Until now only the day-before reminder was being sent. ■ Fixed a bug where Pro could switch itself off after you had paid When the purchase could not be read (no network, signed out of the App Store, just after a restore), the app treated it as “not purchased”.

No changes to the app itself. This update only refreshes the App Store images.

Once your log has a few concerts in it, you can now leave a review from inside the app. It is asked at most once.

• Concerts and on-sale dates now stay up to date on their own. Until now the app only had the data it shipped with, so newly announced on-sale dates never reached you. • Added concerts outside Japan (Elbphilharmonie, Staatskapelle Dresden). • Settings now shows when the concert data was last updated, and where it came from.
