Behave or Misbehave

Bad Habits, Fasting & Walking

Free

New: your cheer squad. Ask friends to cheer you on toward a goal — their sealed notes wait for you as the good days add up. One question at the end of the day: did you behave? Tap Behaved and you're done. Tap Misbehaved and you pick what went wrong — a drink, a late takeout, a missed protein target, whatever your own list says. Did something above an ordinary day? Log that too. TWO OF US, AND A CHEER SQUAD Link Behave with your partner's: each evening you both tap the kind things you noticed and see what they said about your day. Or ask friends to cheer you on toward a goal of good days in a row. Partner and friends can leave you sealed notes — words, a photo, a voice — that become ready on a hard day or as the good days add up, and you open one a day. Only you and each of them see their notes, through iCloud. FOUR TIERS, NOT TWO A day with a slip is Misbehaved. A clean day is Behaved. A clean day with something extra is Overachieved, and two extras makes it Untouchable. The rating is worked out from what you logged and never stored, so it cannot drift away from the record underneath it. GOALS AND MEDALS Everything you log — good days, steps, run/walk sessions, fasts — goes into your stock, and nothing in it expires. Open a set and its balls fill from it; carry a full ball into the hourglass whenever you like. One set is open at a time, and switching loses nothing. No time limit, and a slip never takes back a ball you've moved. Every set you finish drops a medal into your medal box. YOUR TAGS, NOT OURS The app ships with a starting set and expects you to replace it. Rename the tiers, add your own tags, retire the ones that stopped mattering. Retiring a tag keeps every day it was logged on exactly as it was; deleting one removes it from those days too, and the app tells you how many first. FASTING (SESSIONS) A timer that shows roughly which stage your body is in, with a colour that warms as the hours pass and a bonus at sixteen hours. APPLE HEALTH, AS EVIDENCE Steps, exercise minutes, workouts, sleep, weight and energy sit beside each entry. Health only ever suggests: a bonus is never counted without your tap. Behave reads from Health; the one thing it writes back is a run/walk session, saved as a walk with its route once you allow it. Figures read from Health stay on your iPhone — they are never copied to iCloud. WEEKLY AND MONTHLY REPORTS What tripped you up most often, how the days landed, energy against your own baseline, and a short written summary. Every figure is computed by the app itself. And on the 1st, last month comes back as a short story: your highs, your eating window, a name for your month — share the slides you like. Below them, month by month. NO ACCOUNT, NO SERVER There is no sign-up and no backend. Your log lives on your iPhone and mirrors into your own private iCloud, which nobody else — including whoever wrote this app — can read. Export the lot as JSON or CSV whenever you want; it is your record, and it stays readable without this app. A LETTER TO YOUR FUTURE SELF Write one while things are going well. If several days go badly in a row, Behave puts it back in front of you — with the date you wrote it and the run you were on at the time — and sends a reminder the next day, while that day is still open. It stays on your phone and in your own iCloud, and the reminder never quotes it. RUN / WALK, PHONE IN YOUR POCKET Run a minute, walk ten, repeat — or start a walk, begin the rounds when you get there, and keep recording on the way home. A voice tells you each change — "Now run. Round 3 of 6." — over your music at its volume, with the screen off, even on silent. During a session you start, Behave uses your location for distance, pace and your route, saved to Apple Health with the walk; the countdown sits on your Lock Screen. With Behave on an Apple Watch, your wrist taps at every change. No ad networks. No analytics. No tracking. The only thing the app promotes is the developer's own handful of apps, at the foot of the report. Behave or Misbehave is a journal, not a medical device, and offers no medical advice.
