Your grandfather just left his farm to Julian, his no-nonsense grandson, and he just hired you to run it. Ranch Legacy: Idle Farm Tycoon starts with a single free homestead field on a real map of the United States and asks a simple question: how big can you build it?
Ranch Legacy isn't a cartoon farm painted onto a generic board. Every parcel you can buy is precomputed from real OpenStreetMap farmland, laid over a live satellite map of the actual US. Plant corn, soy or wheat based on each region's real soil class and climate, work your fields with tractors and harvesters, then sell on the open Market or fulfil timed buyer Orders for a better price. Build a Mill to turn raw crops into higher-value goods — corn into corn meal, soy into premium oil, wheat into flour — and watch a field-to-market business become a field-to-factory one.
What you'll do:
Plant a crop that fits the soil and season, let it grow while you're away, harvest it the moment you're back, then decide whether to sell raw or mill it for more. Every level-up unlocks new crops, tools and territory, and every dollar you make goes straight back into more land, more equipment, or a faster harvest.
- Real US farmland -35 hand-picked regions built from actual OpenStreetMap parcels, each with its own soil class, climate and best-crop rating.
- Full equipment chain -tractors, harvesters, trucks and cargo planes, each one letting you work more fields and sell for more per ton.
- Field-to-flour milling- process corn, soy and wheat into corn meal, soy oil and flour for a serious price jump over raw crops.
- Timed buyer Orders - cash-and-XP contracts layered on top of the open Market, so there's always a reason to plan your next harvest.
- Real offline progress - your farm keeps running while you're gone, capped at 8 hours so there's always a reason to come back.
- Hire the Manager - unlock full hands-free automation and let her buy seed, plant, harvest, mill and sell for you, even offline.
- Season-gated crops - a ready harvest holds its quality until the season turns, then starts to spoil, so timing your sales actually matters.
Ranch Legacy runs deep once you get past the first homestead field. Level up to unlock Soy and Wheat, then Fertilizer and Irrigation tools that boost yield and cut grow time. Hit level 7 and expansion opens up — own multiple regions at once, with cash, silo and equipment shared across every one of them. Build your fleet with Trucks and Cargo Planes to push your sell price higher, and keep an eye on the seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter each change which crop is worth planting where.
This is a farm built on inheritance, not just idle numbers going up. Your grandfather's letter is the reason you're here. What you build from his one field is entirely up to you.
