Your local sky is no longer empty. REAL TRAFFIC AT SMALL AIRFIELDS Light aircraft now fly actual circuits at the strips near you — take off, fly the pattern, touch-and-go, then a full-stop landing that rolls out, taxis in and parks before the next aeroplane takes its slot. Watch one long enough and you see a whole training day. EASIER TO CATCH The catch ring starts four times wider than it did, and grows to 16 km as you level up. THE RADAR FOLLOWS THE MAP Pan anywhere in the world and the full-screen radar shows what is flying there, instead of always looking at your own doorstep. World traffic draws as aircraft now, each with a trail behind it. THE AEROPLANE SITS WHERE IT SHOULD The lift model was missing its zero-lift term, so every aircraft flew about three degrees nose-high in every phase of flight. That is fixed. Cruise, approach and clean-configuration attitudes now land on published figures. THE SPEED STRIP TELLS THE TRUTH Two faults, both fixed. The gear limit outranked everything else, so the landing speed was unreachable on a landing — the strip now shows VR on the takeoff roll, V2 until the gear is up, VLO while you are still clean on the approach, and Vref once the gear is down. And V2 was worked out from the clean stall rather than the flap setting you are actually in, which put it roughly 45 knots high. IF IT CRASHES, IT SAYS SO The app has been filing a report on itself after every crash since launch and never telling anyone. Now the next launch says what happened and gives you a box for what you were doing — the one thing no automatic report can capture.
