PioTime
Track field ministry time
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
One tap and your field ministry time is logged. PioTime shows what is left to your monthly goal and puts your service report for the month together. Free, no ads, no account, even offline. Your entries live on your device; pair a second one and both sync through an end-to-end encrypted copy on the server.
Quick entry. Buttons for your most common durations, one tap saves. Prefer a running clock instead? Use the built-in timer.
Monthly goal at a glance. A progress bar for 50, 30, 15 hours, or a goal of your own — overridable for a single month, for example when you switch between pioneer and auxiliary pioneer.
Report to share. Field-ministry hours, credit and Bible studies as a short text, ready to send. Leftover minutes can be rounded up, rounded down or carried over to the next month.
Calendar & list. Every month as a calendar with markers, or as a list, with a note about possible gaps.
Bible studies. Count your Bible studies up and down per month.
Credits. Credited hours (Bethel, construction, conventions) count into the month; a yearly credit lowers the year's goal instead.
Service-year overview. September through August at a glance, with the year's goal and monthly totals.
Notes for every month. Write down what you want to remember, with a list, bold and struck-through text. The note shows up with your report but is never sent.
Device syncing. Pair your phone, tablet and other devices with a QR code — end-to-end encrypted, opt-in, and easy to undo at any time.
Twelve languages. German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian and Turkish, with automatic device-language detection.
A demo with sample data is available right on the start screen, separate from your own entries.
more 2.7.6:
Fixed: the 55-hour limit now trims only credits. Field ministry always counts in full, even above 55 hours.
Earlier versions: 2.7.5: starts in your device’s language, Bible studies as an average per month, a new Monthly goal also applies to the current month, a message when saving fails.
2.7.4: with large text the globe button no longer covers the name and version, the language list stays on screen, a new App Store description.
2.7.3: the “Hours per month” you typed are kept when you switch the 55-hour limit, a day in the Month tab shows only what the calendar counts, saving in one step.
2.7.6 3d ago
2.7.5:
New: a new install starts in your device’s language, otherwise in German. While Home is still empty, “Add your first entry” helps you with the first entry.
New: Overview shows Bible studies for the year as an average per month. After a carry-over, the month row shows Field ministry and Credits separately.
Fixed: a new Monthly goal in Defaults now also applies to the current month and every month after it. Earlier months stay as they are.
Fixed: the Monthly report no longer says “Of which” before Field ministry and Credits.
Fixed: “Bring over past hours” shows the unit and says what is still missing while “Apply carry-over” is locked.
Fixed: if saving fails, PioTime now tells you. Import errors name the next step.
Fixed: in the Month tab, a message no longer covers the month navigation, and the planned time of a day is no longer cut off.
Earlier versions: 2.7.4: with large text the globe button no longer covers the name and version, the language list stays on screen, a new App Store description.
2.7.3: the “Hours per month” you typed are kept when you switch the 55-hour limit, a day in the Month tab shows only what the calendar counts, saving in one step.
2.7.2: the timer keeps running during device sync, a newly paired device no longer resets anything, import a backup behind “I already use PioTime”.
2.7.5 4d ago
2.7.4:
New: the App Store description is rewritten and names all twelve languages of the app.
Fixed: with large text on narrow screens, the globe button at the top no longer covers the name “PioTime” and the version number. The language list no longer reaches past the edge of the screen.
Earlier versions: 2.7.3: the “Hours per month” you typed are kept when you switch the 55-hour limit, a day in the Month tab shows only what the calendar counts, saving in one step.
2.7.2: the timer keeps running during device sync, a newly paired device no longer resets anything, import a backup behind “I already use PioTime”.
2.7.1: notes for every month, “Try again” after a failed device sync, focus after closing a window.
2.7.4 Oct 17
2.7.3:
Fixed: if you type “Hours per month” and then switch the 55-hour limit right away, the hours you typed are kept. The same goes for Defaults.
Fixed: when you tap a day in the Month tab, it lists only the entries the calendar counts for that day. A supplement, a carry-over, rounding and past hours added no longer appear there. The same goes for “Today” on the Home screen.
Fixed: in the Stats view, the comparison with the previous month and the previous year counts a carry-over and supplements from the start of the month. A month filled in with “Bring over past hours” is no longer compared.
Fixed: with very large text on narrow screens, Month and Overview no longer slide sideways.
A new or moved entry, “Undo” after deleting and “Done” on a plan are now saved in one step. If PioTime is closed in the middle, either everything is saved or nothing.
Earlier versions: 2.7.2: the timer keeps running during device sync, a newly paired device no longer resets anything, import a backup behind “I already use PioTime”.
2.7.1: notes for every month, “Try again” after a failed device sync, focus after closing a window.
2.6.0: times everywhere as hours:minutes, what is left to the monthly goal on the Home screen, “Undo” for a credit category and yearly credit, “Save” visible right away.
2.7.3 Oct 16
2.7.2:
Fixed: a running timer no longer stops when PioTime syncs with a paired device or when you import a backup.
Fixed: if you stop the timer after midnight, PioTime suggests the day you started it.
Fixed: a newly paired device no longer resets the goal and the settings on both devices. A changed note or number of Bible studies no longer overwrites the goal, the 55-hour limit and the rounding when devices sync.
New: behind “I already use PioTime” you can import a backup, for example when you move from the browser to the app.
Fixed: after “Adjust report” and a deleted entry, the report no longer shows negative hours.
A paired device with an older version waits to sync until it has been updated to 2.7.2.
Earlier versions: 2.7.1: notes for every month, “Try again” after a failed device sync, focus after closing a window.
2.6.0: times everywhere as hours:minutes, what is left to the monthly goal on the Home screen, “Undo” for a credit category and yearly credit, “Save” visible right away.
2.5.0: credit by category in the report, a carried-over credit remainder keeps its category, saving after a longer pause fixed.
2.7.2 Oct 14
2.7.1:
New: notes for every month. At the bottom of the Home screen you write down what you want to remember, with a list, bold and struck-through text. The note also appears in the Month tab and with the report. It is not sent with the report.
Device syncing: if a sync attempt fails, PioTime now says so on the Home screen and offers “Try again”. After a pause in the background, the app syncs more reliably.
Fixed: when you close a window, the focus goes back to where you opened it. This helps with VoiceOver and the keyboard.
A paired device with an older version waits to sync until it has been updated to 2.7.1.
Earlier versions: 2.6.0: times everywhere as hours:minutes, what is left to the monthly goal on the Home screen, “Undo” for a credit category and yearly credit, “Save” visible right away.
2.5.0: credit by category in the report, a carried-over credit remainder keeps its category, saving after a longer pause fixed.
2.7.1 Oct 11
2.6.0:
Times now appear everywhere as hours:minutes, for example 0:30 or 3:00.
In the fields for the monthly goal, the carry-over and the yearly credit, PioTime also understands “53h” and “53:15”. The app reports a typo instead of silently saving 0.
The Home screen shows how much is left to reach the monthly goal.
You can bring back a removed credit category or yearly credit with “Undo”.
“Save” is visible right away, even on small screens. PioTime now asks its confirmation questions inside the app instead of in a system dialog.
In the report, credit by category sits higher up. After sharing, the app confirms with “Report shared”.
Device syncing has one main button and shows that it is running and when it last finished.
Earlier versions: 2.5.0: credit by category in the report, a carried-over credit remainder keeps its category, saving after a longer pause fixed.
2.4.0: four new languages, more reliable device syncing, duration keypad, quick buttons always create a new entry.
2.6.0 Oct 7
2.5.0:
When you send your report, PioTime now lists your credit by category. The list is for reference only; the shared report stays the same.
If you round with “Carry over”, a credit remainder now keeps its category instead of becoming general credit.
Fixed: after a longer pause in the background, PioTime sometimes could not save until the app was restarted.
Earlier versions: 2.4.0: four new languages, more reliable device syncing, duration keypad, quick buttons always create a new entry.
2.3.2: camera prompt when pairing in the device language, App Store lists all eight languages, descriptive browser tab title.
2.5.0 Oct 5
2.4.0:
Four new languages: Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian and Turkish — PioTime now speaks twelve languages, detected automatically from your device language.
Device syncing is more reliable: a pending-deletion notice now stays visible even after a reset and a new pairing. As of this version, a device checks the data version before taking over a newer sync state and waits for its own update; older devices are unaffected and keep taking over newer entries as before.
Tapping the duration now opens a keypad; the rounding to your set granularity is shown before you confirm.
The quick buttons always create a new entry after saving — Undo still works as before.
Earlier versions: 2.3.2: camera prompt when pairing in the device language, App Store lists all eight languages, descriptive browser tab title.
2.3.1: carry-over only after month-end, readable tab bar on narrow screens, report card in the tablet layout.
2.4.0 Sep 19
2.3.2:
The camera prompt when pairing now appears in your device's language — it used to be German for everyone.
This store page now lists all eight languages PioTime speaks; the app itself already spoke them.
On the web: the browser tab now carries a descriptive title, and the handbook links back to PioTime on the web.
Earlier versions: 2.3.1: carry-over only after month-end, readable tab bar on narrow screens, report card in the tablet layout.
2.3.0: Adjust report, asks before deleting, correction rows for rounding down and carry-over, Corners, device syncing in the store apps.
2.3.2 Sep 8
2.3.1:
Fixed: with the “Carry over” setting, a carry-over shifted one month too far — a remainder from August could show up as if it had landed in October. Now a month only passes on its remainder after month-end, and all three rounding options remain.
Fixed: the tab bar stays readable on very narrow screens and at large font sizes. In the tablet layout, the report card's numbers now sit side by side in pairs so “Send report” isn't cut off.
Earlier versions: 2.3.0: Adjust report, asks before deleting, correction rows for rounding down and carry-over, Corners, device syncing in the store apps.
2.2.0: planned hours in the service year, running service year visible right away.
2.3.1 Sep 7
2.3.0:
New in the month: “Adjust report” — for the running month and the one before it, enter what the report should say. Every change appears as a “Supplement” in the month list and can be deleted again.
Deleting an entry that changes the report now asks: keep it in this report, move it to the other month, or remove it from the report.
Rounding down and carry-over now stand as their own correction rows in the month list, so the reported figure adds up.
New under “Appearance”: Corners — Round, Soft or Angular.
Device syncing now works in the App Store and Google Play app as well.
Earlier versions: 2.2.0: planned hours in the service year, running service year visible right away.
2.1.0: repeating plans, six colour schemes, reliable plans, yearly goal per month row.
2.0.96: shorter setup.
2.0.55: iPad layout and reliable device syncing.
2.0.47 (initial release): quick entry, month calendar, service-year
overview, shareable report, and device syncing by QR code.
2.3.0 Sep 5
2.2.0:
The service-year overview shows your planned hours: “still planned” and “recorded + still planned” for the running service year.
The running service year appears in the overview right away — even before the first entry in September.
Earlier versions: 2.1.0: repeating plans, six colour schemes, reliable plans, yearly goal per month row.
2.0.96: shorter setup.
2.0.55: iPad layout and reliable device syncing.
2.0.47 (initial release): quick entry, month calendar, service-year
overview, shareable report, and device syncing by QR code.
2.2.0 Sep 1
2.1.0:
Repeating plans, and six colour schemes under “Appearance”.
Plans now work reliably: recorded time checks the plan off, and leftover plans can be deleted.
The service-year overview shows in every month row whether you are above or below your yearly goal.
When bringing over earlier hours you can now also enter your yearly goal so far — so the goal maths is right from day one.
Carried-over leftover minutes move only one month ahead; stray future months are cleaned up by the app itself.
Earlier versions: 2.0.96: shorter setup.
2.0.55: iPad layout and reliable device syncing.
2.0.47 (initial release): quick entry, month calendar, service-year
overview, shareable report, and device syncing by QR code.
2.1.0 Aug 31
2.0.96:
Setup is shorter now: pick “No goal” directly, answer the question about earlier hours before any form appears, and land right on the dashboard at the end.
The app also no longer shows an unnecessary storage warning.
Earlier versions: 2.0.55: iPad layout and reliable device syncing.
2.0.47 (initial release): quick entry, month calendar, service-year
overview, shareable report, and device syncing by QR code.

On iPad, the navigation now sits neatly at the edge and the content uses the full width.
During setup, you can skip bringing over past hours right at the top.
Deleted plans and reverted carry-overs now stay deleted on all connected devices.
Restoring a backup as a replacement gives the other devices the same state too.
Small fixes.
